...I bought this carrier when my daughter was about six months old, having tried and hated every other carrier I came across.why did I hate them?? well every one is designed with a harness that goes over shoulders and around your body to secure it. now at 5 foot 2 inches and being a size 8-10 i ended every time i used a carrier with bad back and seriously painful shoulders and carrying any baby over 10kg was a mission.
I found the hippychickseat in one of the baby catalogues and decided that I would give it a try.
It is basically like a 'bumbag' of the 80s with a solid insert inside that provides a platform for your baby to sit on. with a good strong velcro fastening and a strap and buckle to secure it further.
I have used this to carry my 4 yr old from school (he suffers with joint pain from hypermobility so sometimes gets tired...

Advantages: Great for a child who loves walking but can't manage too much Disadvantages: Expensive, looks like a bum bag
...We had a huge dilemma when looking at the Hippychickhipseat. Onthe one hand our son was just beginning to exert his independence and wanted to walk everywhere but couldn't as he didn't have the stamina! The seat looked great but i didn't know anyone who had one and there were only a couple of reviews on here at the time so i couldn't make a firm decision. We had had babycarriers which were good but honestly neither i or my husband could be bothered faffing around with them. What i liked about the seat was it was just a lift on , lift off job.
We went ahead and bought the seat and honestly i can say it was the most worthwhile baby thing i have bought - and i have bought a few!! Whenever we go somewhere whether it is shopping, down to the beach, to friends, etc. i just pop on the belt and find it is very comfortable minus baby (ok...

Advantages: Light weight, easy to use Disadvantages: doesn't hold child, straps aren't long enough
...I bought a Hippy Chick HipSeat because I suffer from mild radial sciatica and my husband has back problems. I also bought it because having 2 children within 12 months of each other I was always carrying one or the other and I thought I ought to be carrying them with my back straight, and it certainly works.
I find it extemely useful to leave it in the car and use it when out and about for short periods - mostly if we are walking somewhere and my oldest, who is now 26 months, doesn't want to walk anymore.
My main grumble with the carrier is that I'm not exactly a slim-jim (size 22 actually, although we're working on that!) and the waistband only just fits; so I don't think it's as comfy as it would be if I were slimmer. My husband gets on better with it than I do and I think this is becasue he can do it up tight enough to support...

I first heard of Sophie Ellis Bextor when she was the vocalist on the DJ Spiller track 'If This Ain't Love', which stopped Victoria Beckham from topping the charts on her first outing minus The Spice Girls. I thought Sophie's vocals had a truly unique... more
I had to write a review on this album after looking at the other two reviews as it is clear they have not got much experience of hip hop and the art form that it is and that greatness of nas and how this album rates among his others. I AM ONE OF NAS'... more
