...I bought this carrier when my daughter was about six months old, having tried and hated every other carrier I came across.why did I hate them?? well every one is designed with a harness that goes over shoulders and around your body to secure it. now at 5 foot 2 inches and being a size 8-10 i ended every time i used a carrier with bad back and seriously painful shoulders and carrying any baby over 10kg was a mission.
I found the hippychick seat in one of the baby catalogues and decided that I would give it a try.
It is basically like a 'bumbag' of the 80s with a solid insert inside that provides a platform for your baby to sit on. with a good strong velcro fastening and a strap and buckle to secure it further.
I have used this to carry my 4 yr old from school (he suffers with joint pain from hypermobility so sometimes gets tired...

...This (very good) barriercream has a water in oil formation and is classed as an emollient (form Latin "emolliere" meaning to soften ). It acts as a barrier to fungi , bacteria and ammonia from human waste products which can all cause nappy rash (according to net doctor).
There is no list of ingredients on the tube but the manufacturer (Bayer) website assures consumers that this product is free of fragrance, preservatives, colours or antiseptics. It mentions one active ingredient-Pro vitamin B5 as an aid to skin repair but there is little other factual information on their website.

Advantages: Soothing for chapped skin. Can be used on mother and child. Tube lasts a long time. Disadvantages: Some people are allergic to lanolin. Quite sticky
...Purelan cream is used to protect and soothe cracked or dry nipples.
I found it to be extremely soothing for cracked nipples and I often used it on dry patches of my own skin and my babies skin.
The cream has the texture of really thick and sticky vaseline and is yellow in colour. It doesn't really have any scent to it.
A tiny smear on your finger is more than enough for both nipples. I used the small tube which came with my breastpump at least twice a day for a month and the tube still looks full.
I found it to really useful as a barrier to protect my nipples when I was using my breastpump. If you pump milk several times a day you can be left feeling a little sore but this stopped the skin from drying and soothed any sore patches.
I used some of it on my babies cradle cap and it really calmed down the redness seemed to stop...

This is another review about a Dermalogica product which I do like, I cannot say I love it as I think it can be easily replaced but it is worth letting you know about. When your skin is dry, especially during winter periods, and you want an extra... more
