Soft as silk, strong as polyester, cool as linen, warm as wool and even more absorbent than cotton, these Tencel bed protectors from Hippychick are made from Tencel, a naturally hygenic fibre made from 100% biodegradable wood pulp celllulose. This, coupled with an undetectable, breathable, 100% waterpooof, polyurethane layer makes a fabulous fitted sheet for your little one\'s bed. This bed protector is great at absorbing moisture, helping to keep the bed cool and comfy, and also reducing the growth of bacteria, mold and mites in a completely natural way, without the use of chemicals that may be harmful to sensitive skin. The polyurethane layer also acts as an anti allergy barrier - further protecting against mites which are a major cause of hayfever and asthma. Fully washable, line or tumble dry and available in 3 sizes: Cot (60x 120cms), Cot Bed (70 x 140cms), Single Bed (90 x 200cms).
Advantages: 100% WASHABLE; 100% BREATHABLE; 100% ANTI ALERGENIC; 100% SAFER THAN OTHER BABY MATTRESSES Disadvantages: NONE
...it is obviously the safest mattress; 100%25 breathable (truely breathable) air can circulate around my baby allthe time so I know her temperature can be controlled far easier than on any other mattress ; 100%25 washable; no dust mites or other nasty stuff in it; it support my baby completely I can see through it it's completely hollow and can have the tension of the surface adjusted so it fits my baby's shape not my baby fitted the shape of the mattress. I could go on and on I love it and guess what I was invented by a mum yippee!...

Advantages: easy to use, invaluable for a toddler. Disadvantages: no straps for security minded parents
...I bought this carrier when my daughter was about six months old, having tried and hated every other carrier I came across.why did I hate them?? well every one is designed with a harness that goes over shoulders and around your body to secure it. now at 5 foot 2 inches and being a size 8-10 i ended every time i used a carrier with bad back and seriously painful shoulders and carrying any baby over 10kg was a mission.
I found the hippychick seat in one of the baby catalogues and decided that I would give it a try.
It is basically like a 'bumbag' of the 80s with a solid insert inside that provides a platform for your baby to sit on. with a good strong velcro fastening and a strap and buckle to secure it further.
I have used this to carry my 4 yr old from school (he suffers with joint pain from hypermobility so sometimes gets tired...

Advantages: Lovely colours, great quality, good price, they last Disadvantages: None
...parents-to-be! There are 2 types which are fitted sheets and flat sheets. Fitted sheets are elasticated so they sit snuggly to the mattress, and flat sheets have to be folded underneath the mattress. As well as that, you have to choose whether you want flannelette or cotton jersey. Flannelette can be warmer for babies born in the winter, but cotton jersey is smooth and soft. And most importantly, you have to buy the right size. You can buy them in Moses Basket size (35 x 73cm), Crib size (35 x 89cm), Cot size (59 x 119cm) and finally Cot-Bed size (70 x 140cm). These are standard sizes so its worth bearing in mind what sort of bed your baby will have before you buy sheets.
I think that it is important to buy good quality sheets and they will be used a lot, as baby's sleep a lot when they are younger, and will also need to be washed and dried...
