...Want to command your own army? Now you can Lord of the rings battle for middle earth is one of the best rts games ive played. With 16 campaign missions from good to evil. A skirmish mode. But the best bit is the xbox live multiplayer. Battle with a friend to see who is the best commander or team up and defeat many other commanders around the world. Choose from one of the 6 different factions all requireing different strategies. This will keep you coming back for more as you will want to find out what army you are best with and that will destroy your opponent! I am sure you will be playing this game for a very long time until the next one comes out. Also its the first rts with a simple control scheme, you'll be used to it in no time....

I was never an XBOX fan. For the ten years I had been adamant that SONY were the kings of the consoles. I have a PS1, PS2 & PSP but the price of the PS3 meant I would have to wait until an armed robbery of the royal mint took place to help pay for it - which was all being carefully planned on scrap paper during my lunch hours at work. Until one day a colleague invited me round to his house warming party to get drunk and play lots of computer games (we're geeks - this is what parties are like for us, OK!). He turned on his 360 Premium and we plugged away at Gears of War & Dead Rising! It is here at this point...

Advantages: new slant on WW2 franchise, long missions, value for money Disadvantages: repetitive music, old graphic standard
...New concept to the World War II franchise, this time focusing on the Pacific war from Pearl Harbour to the Battle of Midway. you can control all units on your screen, ranging from a plane to a battleship, with a story that engrosses, and which has a range of difficulties and ship challenges which will keep you playing for hours.
You can also take part in online battles, and it has a lot of downloadable content such as maps and new missions. The game was originally made for the original XBox, therefore the graphics are not next generation, which is not detrimental as such, but with all the XBox360 games, you do expect the next generation standard.
Music is very good but can be slightly repetitive after a while. Overall, this cost around £25, although secondhand and copies come cheaper. This is a refreshing slant on the World War...
