It has a great resolution at 1366x768 and sound quality is good considering it has japanese speakers. I'm not a fan of japanese speakers.
It has a consistantly good picture quality be it HDMI input, Component or scart. I've watched many films through this tv now and not one has been disappointing in quality be it Monsters Inc or Pearl Harbour. i'm not talking quality of film as i'm not keen on either but this tv does them justice which sells the technology of the set itself well.
It comes with the table top stand however due to its weight it doesnt have the motorised swivel fuction that the 42" and smaller size sets do.
Due to its weight its also not very easy to wall mount as are the smaller sets however if your house is big enough to house one i'm sure you have space without mounting it on the wall.
Its HD (high definition) ready, ready for events such as the world cup and the picture on HD is simply mindblowing.
I personally prefer LCD screens over Plasma but as LCD is very pixelated in sizes over 37" (except sony's 40" LCD that i've seen) i'd definitely go for this set if i wanted to go for a bigger size.

In conclusion a great value for money home cinema television if you've got the spare cash!
