Hitachi NSA extends its 3S Series of Super Space Saving monitors with the new 21" (20" viewable) SuperScan 814. Hitachi's SuperScan 814 represents a new level of high performance monitors designed specifically for CAD/CAM/CAE, imaging, graphic design and pre-press professionals requiring very high refresh rates at top resolutions. With a refresh rate of 85Hz at its maximum resolution of 1856 x 1392 and 100 Hz at 1600 x 1200, the 814 provides rock solid, flicker-free images that reduce eyestrain and decrease viewer fatigue. Part of the new 3S Series that features the shortest depth of any 21" monitor available on the market today, the 814 measures a scant 18.5" in depth and weighs only 61 lbs. Representing the ultimate in quality 21" (20" viewable) monitors, the 814 has a video clock frequency of 270 MHz and an auto synchronization range of 31-125 KHz. This product establishes a new level for 21" (20"viewable) high performance monitors. Featuring Hitachi's proprietary PrecisionFocus technology with a multi-step dynamic focus gun, the 814 provides a super-fine dot pitch of 0.22mm horizontal and 0.16mm vertical that form one of the crispest, brightest images available today. Utilizing advanced flat-square Invar shadow mask technology; Hitachi's design reduces both the horizontal and vertical dot pitches to one of the lowest in the industry. The result is crisper, clearer, images - even at the corners and edges. The SuperScan 814 also features five language selections and Hitachi's EasyMenu on-screen controls with adjustments for color temperature, degauss, moire, trapezoid, pincushion and more. This monitor also is user and environmentally friendly with features such as TCO '95 compliance (the strictest industry standard for low emissions and energy consumption), AG/AS coating for low glare, Windows '98 compatibility as well as Windows '95 Plug & Play.

...*Description/Introduction*
The Hitachi CML174SXW-B is currently one of the highest specification LCD TFT monitors on the LCD market. I purchased one from CRS Solutions in December of 2002, and I am highly impressed.
The monitor itself is 17" of pure joy, housed in a top quality, sleek black casing.
The looks of the monitor are absolutely superb, and it is excellent for those just wishing to add a bit of style to their desktop.
LCD monitors are becoming ever more popular, and it looks like this particular monitor, and others of its ilk could be the monitors to break the stereotype of slow response, blurry LCD's.

...If you are looking for an 80 GB hard disk for your PC, you have found the one to buy! I have been using 2 of these Hitachi Deskstar's in my PC for a long time now. I have had no problems with them. For the price you pay to buy one, you are getting cheap and reliable hard disk, witch has a good capacity to price ratio (around 2GB per pound).
I would recommend this hard disk to anyone whom it is making up a new computer, or just needs more storage space.
This hard disk is probable one of the quickest disks I have used, its read speed is good, but I must say, the SATA (serial ATA) version is about twice as quick, but for them that don't intend to go down the path of SATA Can just stick with the ATA-100 version (or IDE as it is more commonly known).
Instillation of this disk is like every other hard disk on this planet, if you know...
