Hitachi's new CP-L850W LCD projector produces a picture bright and clear enough for comfortable viewing even in well-lit rooms or conference halls where larger screen size is required. It employs a newly developed polarization converter that makes more efficient use of the available light than any previous system, plus a complex light source reflector designed to maximize the amount of light reaching the LCD panel. The display expands selected VGA (640 x 480) images to full screen size with no loss of brightness.

...I work for a middle school in Bedfordshire and have recently had the task of buying a projector for the ICT department and looked into a large range of models. Our school ended up purchasing this model - the Hitachi CP-S225. Below I will note its advantages and disadvantages and other important details. This is a good looking model with 1000 ANSI Lumens with a short throw lense, lamp with a 2000 hour lamp life, Digital keystone correction and it only weighs 2.4 kilo's. The education price for this model was £1695 but I would expect it to be a little more at business price. The advantages of this machine are as follows: 1. COST - not a bad price for a projector in my opinion. 2. WEIGHT - at only 2.4 kilos this model is easily portable and easy to store. It's dimensions are only 298mm(W) * 60mm(H) * 210mm(D) 3... Advantages: True 17" size, Good resolution, V good brightness, Ultra fast response time, DVI output, Size, 3 year warranty
Disadvantages: Price, Base does not swivel

The stand tilts. *Dimensions: (H)x(W)x(D) - 15.5"x14.7"x8.0" *Weight 11.0 lbs. *Warranty* With the screen being quite expensive at this moment in time, I thought that the warranty was worth a special mention. There is a three year on site warranty with the Hitachi CML174SXWB. The warranty does not cover for the monitor going less bright with time as this is a natural occurrence, and obviously damage done by yourself to the monitor is not covered.
