...purchasing this model - the Hitachi CP-S225. Below I will note its advantages and disadvantages and other important details.
This is a good looking model with 1000 ANSI Lumens with a short throw lense, lamp with a 2000 hour lamp life, Digital keystone correction and it only weighs 2.4 kilo's.
The education price for this model was £1695 but I would expect it to be a little more at business price.
The advantages ... ...COST - not a bad price for a projector in my opinion.
2. WEIGHT - at only 2.4 kilos this model is easily portable and easy to store. It's dimensions are only 298mm(W) * 60mm(H) * 210mm(D)
3. The lamp lasts 2000 hours and can be turned off and moved to another location within one minute without damaging the bulb. (Unlike another projector we previously purchased - model ASK C2)
It is a 130w UHB bulb.

I work for a middle school in Bedfordshire and have recently had the task of buying a projector for the ICT department and looked into a large range of models.

5. It has 1000 ANSI Lumens which allows you to use it in slightly brighter rooms without losing the quality of the projection.
6. Has clear instructions on how to set up your projector which is always handy if you haven't used one before.
This projector doesn't really have any disadvantages - it can even cope with being in our school hall which is quite a large and bright room
I suppose the only disadvantage is that even though it is a good price for a projector it is still quite a lot of money to fork out.
Overall I would cetainly recommend this product to schools and would think it would be fine for home or office use aswell.
For big presentations in confined spaces, the CP-S225 is unbeatable. It can display a 60" diagonal image from only 1.5m away, and uses Hitachi's 0.7" polysilicon active matrix TFT panels combined with a 150W UHB lamp to deliver a breathtaking 1100 ANSI lumens. Take advantage of situations where ambient light levels are lower by using the CP-S225's 800 lumen Whisper mode that cuts noise to just 32dB. Its compatibility extends to component video and HDTV formats, while the features include a high-quality optical zoom lens, digital keystone correction, image freeze and digital magnification.
