Have had this dvd/video player in my house now for a couple of months. Its excellent does everything we wanted from a dvd player and video. Its easy to use. With straight forward instructions . Just pluged it in and got on with it. Buttons all well labled remote is easy to use withsome of the controls shared between dvd and video functions. Coped well even with my homemade movies as well as mp3 disks. Have yet to find anything that i can find fault with. I have small child who is usualy resposible for breaking our video's etc and its has survived her so must be reasonably well made. I would strongly recomend anyone looking to replace there exsisting equipment to take at look at this one.

On the back of the machine you have sockets for 2 scart leads optical output and coaxial out for digital sound . s-video , analog out and arial input and output.
On the front there is controls for opening the dvd tray also play and stop buttons. Then there is controls for fast forward/reverse record,play ,stop ,and timer for the video mode . Also controls for channel selection and to switch between dvd and video mode. There is also sockets to connect a video camera / games console etc.
REMOTE Most of the control is done from the remote and is quite well laid out with a alot of the buttons shared by both the video and dvd modes ( play/stop/pause/slowmotion/fastforward/rewind. there is then seperate buttons for menu access, zoom, camera angle, subtitle,repeat, on dvd mode . And programing buttons for recording (video plus and manual) including a one touch record button for that last minute panic.
