I have recently purchased the hitachi dvd player dv -p305, the purchase price was £229.95, i had been told that the dvd was far superior in picture quality to that of a vcr. How right they where ,needless to say the video is now in the skip,the picture quality of the dvd is beyond belief. Setting the unit up was a piece of cake, just plug in and play, controls on the unit where very easy to understand and not to close together,so anyone with a disability should have no problem using it. The handset is quite slim, but the buttons are arranged for ease of use On the rear of the set is ample aux/scart sockets for every type of in home entertainment i can think of,i have connected mine via the hi fi so now i can enjoy full cinema sound,at a fraction of the cost. The menue from the onset give you ample variations on screen layout ,so if like me you do not have a wide screen t v yet, you can customise the picture to get the best veiw. As regards sound quality well you may have seen the tv add for dvd ,take my word for it its fantastic. I would not hesitate in recommending this product to anyone ,its easy to use, fantastic sound quality,and picture sharpness secound to none.
