It isn't the quietest drive I've used, but it is certainly by no means a noisy drive and also seems to have nice quick access times compared to my older SATA ... ...on a separate partition and all my other documents and programs on the remainder of the drive. The boot up time for windows seems quick at the moment, however i am sure with time it will slow down as all drives do when they get full of user files and related junk!

So far I've been using it for a month and no problems to report yet. It isn't the quietest drive I've used, but it is certainly by no means a noisy drive and also seems to have nice quick access times compared to my older SATA drives. Im using it as my only drive, with windows on a separate partition and all my other documents and programs on the remainder of the drive. The boot up time for windows seems quick at the moment, however i am sure with time it will slow down as all drives do when they get full of user files and related junk!
As far as installation goes it was as easy as any other drive, with it simply slotting into the correct drive bay of the computer and then securing in place with the usual screws. There was no SATA cable supplied but I had plenty spare so it was not a problem. The drive I bought was an OEM version so I cannot comment on the packaging or any manuals supplied with the retail versions as this was simply the drive on it's own.
Overall this is a very good value drive, offering massive storage for the money, is quite quiet and so far has proved to be reliable.
