Advantages: Easy setup, Reliable Disadvantages: Perhaps a little noisey
Nice product, got mine for £45 being a oem drive so no cabels were supplied etc .... It was easy to install format and partition with no problems, windows recognised the full size straight away, Jumper setting guide is on the drive an easy to follow, I use mine as my second drive with windows being installed on another but im always swapping files to and from drives and all my downloads go to the Hitachi and so far no errors, corruptions or anything of the sort, Speed seems reasonable transfers a 5Gb movie in about 2 mins with other things going on in the background all in all it seems very reliable the only complaint i would have is it does tend to get a little noisey at times but only a little and not as loud as my maxtor ...
Advantages: Plenty of storage space and very quiet Disadvantages: Isn't the biggest guide on the market nore the fastest but not the most expensive either
The HitachiDeskstar is a great little hard drive which can be had for around £40.
I bought this hard drive for my first computer i built and am extreamly impressed with its preformance. It is exceptionaly quiet i have never really heard a peep from it over the sound of the fans and DVD drive which isn't really that loud. It seems to run at a reasonable temperature, I have felt it before after the coputer has been running for a couple of hours and it has been reasonably cool nothing to worry about.
The drive is a massive 500Gb which is plenty for the average user easily fitting all of your music, documents and videos on with little trouble and acres of space to spare.
The drive is very easy to install just the simple matter of plugging in two cables one from the power supply and another connected to the motherboard.
The drive ...
Advantages: Reliable, Quick, Quite, Good value for money Disadvantages: Not a very high capasity
If you are looking for an 80 GB hard disk for your PC, you have found the one to buy! I have been using 2 of these HitachiDeskstar's in my PC for a long time now. I have had no problems with them. For the price you pay to buy one, you are getting cheap and reliable hard disk, witch has a good capacity to price ratio (around 2GB per pound).
I would recommend this hard disk to anyone whom it is making up a new computer, or just needs more storage space.
This hard disk is probable one of the quickest disks I have used, its read speed is good, but I must say, the SATA (serial ATA) version is about twice as quick, but for them that don't intend to go down the path of SATA Can just stick with the ATA-100 version (or IDE as it is more commonly known).
Instillation of this disk is like every other hard disk on this planet, if you know ...
