This looks like something out of James Bond. Its a MPEG Movie camera, that is to say it captures movie in a compressed format suitable for display on PC.
You can forward/rewind like any other video recorder but as the quility of movies is very good the file size of each movie is very big, thus your hard drive space is soon swallowed up. A 3 second clip can be about 1MB ! It will take 640 x 480 resolution stills and records sound too. It takes a Lithium Ion rechargable 100 Min battery and charger and AC adapter supplied.
It takes rotating hard disk card Type III PCMCIA so it can be read in any laptop PCMCIA slot or downloaded by the cable provided. Its lens swivels for shorting short movies of yourself is you so wish. This can be accomplished with its 3 x optical zoom.
