Advantages: Very small for Data Capacity, Fast Transfer Rate Disadvantages: Drains Batteries, Moving parts
...The best thing about this is that it’s cool, 4gb all in a thing an inch and a half wide! It’s amazing! The disadvantage to this, however, is the price, in comparison you’re getting 4gb for £179, for that price and only 2 ½ inches wider you could have nearly 300gb! But who cares? It’s small! This great little device works find in most card readers, and the transfer rate is astonishing, I use it for my mp3 player, and it transfers about 10 albums in under 5 minutes on USB 1.1, now that’s not bad! I imagine it would be faster still on USB 2.0.

Advantages: Quite, low power consumption, high capacity Disadvantages: Expensive
...I have been using a Hitachi TravelStar for a long time now, I have had not problems with it and I have given it a good run for the price I paid for it.
I originally started out with the 80gb model of this hard disk. I had absolutely no problems with it. (I now have the 100gb model as the laptop it was in was broken in a car accident).
I had the 80gb model for a year and never gave me any trouble. It was:
· Fast
· Reliable
· Quite
· Super low power consumption
· Had a quick spin up time
· Very quick seek time
· Standard 5 year warranty
· Very helpful warranty/customer support
Hitachi's customer warranty claims support is like no other that I have come across before. You go onto there website, fill out a warrant claim form; package the device (hard disk in my case) in the way they require. Once you have sent it to them...

This MP3 layer is an insult to all other mp3 players out there which actually work. The thing constantly freezes up on you (upon which you have to restart it by pressing the volume up and power key together).
When it freezes the thing will keep... more
