Advantages: Looks very nice cosmetically Disadvantages: All A/V inputs differ from international standard (unless someone can prove otherwise)
...I've had the Hitach P50XR01U for a little over 2 weeks now and not being an expert, find the picture quality to my liking with plenty of adjustment to play with. The audio is not quite to my liking, being their latest 50" plasma TV I would have expected the quality of the audio to be much better. The main reason I bought this TV was because of the vast number of input/outputs on board. I've operated a karaoke business for 20 years now and often have karaoke parties at my house. I was horrified when I connected my JVC karaoke player and my KAM1920 radio mic set to the TV, using the inbuilt TV amplifier and internal speakers, there is a definate delay in the audio from the microphones being delivered at the TV speakers making it un-useable, I tried all the other inputs but just the same. Full of dissapointment I approached the retailer who...

Advantages: Cheap, good picture, many connections for peripherals Disadvantages: The name for brand snobs, not the most attractive TV

This means that you get a crisper image from devices which support these resolutions, such as the Xbox 360.
I saw this TV on Amazon for under £500, and thought it looked like an excellent deal. I was slightly nervous about buying it, as there were very few reviews available online, but after taking the Tv from its securely packaged box and setting it up, I'm pleased to say there are no problems at all.

Advantages: Large screen, hdmi, HD ready, Freeview built in, Power swivel, SD card reader. Disadvantages: Didn't come with a RF lead.....thats about it.
...can even view your digital photos from a USB port which is based on the front, so you can connect your digital camera or your USB memory card reader. A headphone jack point. A user friendly menu system. First time installation setup system. High quality sound with various options to which sound output you want. Lovely high defintion picture with various picture options. The colours are rich, intense, and a pleasure to watch. You can even change the screen size layout to Panoramic, 14:9, full, 4:3 & panoramic.
I must admit i have already given my PS2 to a bash on this. Its like being in an arcade with the screen so big and the bass coming out of the speakers. Its like i\'ll never go back to using a CRT TV ever again. I\'ve been converted to the realm of plasma TV's.
I must say one thing though. Hitachi are really the only company...

Great TV.
Looks very sleek and stylish with the dark black/silver trim. Comes on a small stand, or can be screwed into the wall. (The instructions for which are not very good) It simply shows a picture of a wall, one of the tele, and one of some... more
