Joel Schumacher brings the typical suspense and twisted horror that made Se7en so popular in its time, though, in a sickening kind of judgement, I must admit that I enjoyed 8mm a lot more. The atmosphere is one of the main features that I judge this film as being a success. The dark, surprisingly calm, underground sex trades are served as a strong contrast to family man Welles. It is because of such that we, the audience, sympathise for the character in his most isolated moments; he is pressed by various disturbing confrontations and suffers from psychological torture. Review of 8MM (DVD)

Canon EF 24-105mm f4 IS USM - A great all rounder?

Advantages: Build quality. Compact. Weight. Optical quality. Image Stabilisation.
Disadvantages: Barrel distortion and Chromatic Aberration at 24mm

I purchased this lens brand new to accompany my then new Canon EOS 5D around 18 months ago. I have to confess, I spent over two weeks prior to making my purchases deciding just which lens I should choose as my 'standard' zoom - this, or the also highly regarded Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 USM. In the end, I chose the 24-105 for reasons which I will divulge as we go along. This lens is designed primarily for use on FF (Full Frame) DSLR's or 35mm film SLR cameras, the 4.4x zoom range presenting a somewhat less attractive 39-168mm focal length range when used on Canon APS-C DSLR camera due of course, to the 1.6x crop factor of the smaller sensor. M&M'S FOR ME.

Advantages: Delicious and filling
Disadvantages: Nut allergy sufferers steer clear.
