I love shoot em ups, and this one is up there as one of the best!!
Basicly, you are a retired hitman, returning to the business to rescue your friend from the bad guys. The story unfolds nicely and at an acceptable rate, although it does seem to drift away abit. The graphics are as you would ... Read review

to address many of the criticisms that haunted the PC original but still falling short of its potential. The premise sets up the player as a genetically modified hit man, forced out of retirement when things get a little personal. Each level then sets up an overall mission, broken down into sub-objectives, thankfully with a much-requested save-game feature included in case things get a little hairy. This isn't your standard walk-and-shoot kind of game, though;Hitman 2rewards planning, and lots of it. While there's no fixed linear route through any of the levels, each requires a lot of thought to be completed. What limits the game's potential though is the continual stream of frustrations. The enemy's artificial intelligence, for instance, is sometimes very sadly lacking, and there are occasions when the pace drops to snail-like speed, without always generating sufficient tension to carry the player through. That said, when it hits top gearHitman 2can be tense, atmospheric and enjoyable. Graphically it's very polished, and those who enjoy games that reward solid thinking more than an itchy trigger finger will certainly find something to enjoy. But while undoubtedly a step forward from its predecessor, it's an ambitious game that still falls short of its targets. Put simply, it's good, it's challenging, but it still leaves quite a lot of room for improvement. --Jon FosterThis review refers to the PlayStation 2 version.
thanHitman 2. Based around 21 missions you play a hitman trying to save a friend who's been kidnapped.Immersing you slowly into a story that moves between Russia, India, Japan and other locations, you have to use your wits as you sneak through deadly exercises.Continuing on from the original game, Eidos has done a lot to improve the games control mechanism as well as some of the features that where criticised in the first instalment. Unlike the original, a save option has now been included, though the number of saves you get (and the number of bad guys and the degree of their intelligence) will be determined by the difficulty level you choose. While the graphics have been noticeably improved since the first game--the snow is very impressive in St Petersberg--neither the sound nor the gameplay have been forgotten: there is now a 60-piece orchestra and 50-member choir soundtrack; and now you don't necessarily have to complete the missions in a specific order.Eidos has managed to do a rare thing withHitman 2. It has taken a game that was by all accounts mediocre, listened to the criticism and tried its best to address the problems with an effective response--and produced a high-quality game which, although still difficult, should give you plenty of late nights and annoying puzzles to solve. --Jason Denwood

Advantages: Lots of gameplay and good graphics Disadvantages: no multiplayer ability
...i got the newer version Hitman contracts. If the game was good i would buy contracts and if it was not up to standards i would not get contracts.
And now sitting on my huge collection of games is Hitman: Contacts. The game involves you codename 47 to go through a set of missions assasinating various leaders.
The gameplay is very good. I found myself playing the game in 4 hour shifts without realizing it. You can play the stealthy assassin and sneak ... ...one else, or you can go on a wild rampage and tear up the place with guns blazing and bodies everywhere. The game will score you based on your stealth level and your aggression level on each mission you undertake. This lets you replay levels to improve your desired score.
The graphics of the game are amazingly good. For the couple of weeks i have played it i have not found any problems with the graphics. The camera angles are up to scratch in all ...

Hitman is amazing Review ofHitman 2: Silent Assassin (Xbox)by
guslod
Advantages: Very addictive gameplay Disadvantages: Length of the game
This game is amazing. The objective is to kill somebody without being spotted hence the silent assassin name. You can complete the level and the game under different ratings but you can only unlock hidden items when you get the silent assasin marking for your killing although it is much more fun to kill everyone in sight and get the lowest rating of mass murderer.
The basic plot is that you decide to go clean and give up the game of killing people ... ...some gang members come and kidnap and beat up the local vicar you have to use your old connections to receive information and in return and to finance yourself you have to do more and more jobs for them such as going into St. Petersburg and getting into a large mansion. You then have to get to the top of the mansion and take your adversary out to retrieve a briefcase important to a client. One thing you will find is that you will struggle to get the ...

Great game Review ofHitman 2: Silent Assassin (Xbox)by
ham182
Advantages: Graphics and blood Disadvantages: unrealistic how the bodies fly everywhere when shot!
This game is a very good game if you like killing and gore, as there is plenty of blood.
You are every ones favourite assassin, the legendary “47” now with an even bigger arsenal of weapons ranging from scalpels to high powered sniper rifles.
Though i have not actually played on the first game i have been told that this is a great deal better.
The basic story is that after one of 47's friends (a priest) has been kidnapped this lures him back into ... ...the game takes you to many different locations for different missions to the final one where you meet the leader and dispose of him and his cronies!
The game also offers an in game save which unlike games such as Splinter cell makes it a lot more fun as you can experiment with how you kill people or if you mess up you just go back to where you saved! The newly added first person view has mad it a lot easier to kill with and automatic weapon or with ...
