I love shoot em ups, and this one is up there as one of the best!!

Basicly, you are a retired hitman, returning to the business to rescue your friend from the bad guys. The story unfolds nicely and at an acceptable rate, although it does seem to drift away abit. The graphics are as you would expect from the xbox, stunning and free flowing. Computer games still have along way to go before they reach perfection though, but this is getting there. The attention to detail is really good, for instance at your home 'shed' there is a bell you can shoot up on the church roof, as you get nearer to it the sound of the bullet hitting it increases, its little things like this that really make the difference between a good game and a great game. Amazing seeing as how this section is not part of the game proper!!

In the game the effects are just as stunning, zooming up to someone with a sniper rifle scope and chosing your moment to kill them is a joy. You can miss aswell, adding to this game instead of being a niggle. There are slighly too many missions in the game, some being to shart or seming to have reason for being there but when you reach the end of the game it leaves you wanting more action. There is a large selection of weapons to use, and some items for you to try like piosion and the throat cord, nice!

You can play the game two ways, firstly you can creep about killing people silently or covertly, or secondly, you can goe about your busniess of killing in an open manner and kill every thing that moves. I have tryed both ways and i think you can guess which one is the most fun. Once completed you can chose any of the missions and go back to them to play again, a nice feature and one that i regulary use.

Once you have completed the game, and i reccomend this, get your self the cheats, availible online, and you will find your self with all the weapons, GREAT FUN. Another nice cheat is to get the nails effect, where anyone you shoot gets 'nailed' up to the wall and hangs there by a limb!!

I recommend you get yourself a copy of this game, second hand i have seen them for £10-£15.

The next hitman is due out at the end of April, I know i will be getting a copy!
