third entry in the franchise, and has some neat new tricks up its sleeve. That said, the core of the game is still fundamentally the same as before. You take the role of a genetically modified hitman who from the off finds himself in deep trouble, holed up in a tight spot surrounded by people who want him dead. The reasons why become clear as you play your way through a series of flashbacks, some of which draw heavily from the previous games in the series. Fortunately, the similarities also stretch to the gameplay, which is by turns taut, tense and violent. The game gives you plenty of freedom in choosing how to tackle the various missions you're presented with, and particularly in the early stages it's tremendously good fun working out the best way to achieve an objective. There are a couple of drawbacks: the game is a little shorter than might be expected, and it is more of an evolution from previous adventures than a independent sequel. But these are minor niggles, especially when you consider that this is the best game to date in theHitmanfranchise. It's going to be interesting to see how creators Io Interactive develop the series, but for now they've given us a healthy dose of what's gone before, and made it a little better. --Simon Brew
concept, with huge improvements to the graphics, controls and, most importantly, the number of ways for you to plan your hits - from wading in guns blazing to making it all look like a simple accident. The lowdown:Although the Hitman games were always a great idea they never quite worked the way you expected, with an awkward control system and camera and far less freedom than it at first seemed. This latest sequel solves almost all these problems, starting with a standard third person camera over which you have full control. Although you can ask for hints on how to carry out a hit you've so many options the game's almost like a macabre graphic adventure - do you use the remote detonated bomb on the chandelier winch in the ballroom or plug the secretary's Coke with poison and hide in the cupboard? The new notoriety system seems a bit pointless but otherwise this gets almost everything right. Most exciting moment:The game features tons of new additions like grabbing human shields, a quick draw for your gun and the ability to hide bodies. The most fun though is the simple sounding push option, which allows you to sneak up behind someone and send them flying off a balcony by "accident".Since you ask:Blood Money includes various references to previous Hitman games, the most prominent being the Paris mission in an Opera house, which acts as a prequel to Hitman: Contracts. The bottom line:The best Hitman game yet, that makes a real effort to fix the flaws of the previous games.Harrison Dent
thanHitman 2. Based around 21 missions you play a hitman trying to save a friend who's been kidnapped.Immersing you slowly into a story that moves between Russia, India, Japan and other locations, you have to use your wits as you sneak through deadly exercises.Continuing on from the original game, Eidos has done a lot to improve the games control mechanism as well as some of the features that where criticised in the first instalment. Unlike the original, a save option has now been included, though the number of saves you get (and the number of bad guys and the degree of their intelligence) will be determined by the difficulty level you choose. While the graphics have been noticeably improved since the first game--the snow is very impressive in St Petersberg--neither the sound nor the gameplay have been forgotten: there is now a 60-piece orchestra and 50-member choir soundtrack; and now you don't necessarily have to complete the missions in a specific order.Eidos has managed to do a rare thing withHitman 2. It has taken a game that was by all accounts mediocre, listened to the criticism and tried its best to address the problems with an effective response--and produced a high-quality game which, although still difficult, should give you plenty of late nights and annoying puzzles to solve. --Jason Denwood
Advantages: not linear, great graphics, expansive levels Disadvantages: not a major improvement from SS, "hard difficulty" level too difficult
...have always liked about the Hitman series is the way that whatever country you are in the enemies and innocents will always speak the native language, which is very realistic unlike some games where everyone seems to be able to speak fluent American English!
The Jesper Kyd Soundtrack from Hitman Contracts can be purchased from a few shops, the songs on it are as follows:
1 White Room & Main Title 2 SWAT Team 3 Hong Kong Underground 4 Slaughter ... ...are so many characters in Hitman that it would be pointless going through all of them because you know little knowledge of them before you are assigned to kill them. The two main characters though, are Diana and Tobias
The main character is Hitman himself or Tobias Rieper as some may know him, but commonly known only as 47. He is a genetically engineered human clone who now works for something called the Agency where he is assigned assassination ...

Advantages: Decent stealth action, when on the harder settings, some nice weapon choices, non linear gameplay. Disadvantages: Hardly any different from Hitman2 and now its looking a little dated, Poor AI.
...changed since its predecessors.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
There’s a price to pay for the heavy beautiful graphics of Far Cry, and that’s about two grand for a snazzy pc to play it with everything turned up on, Hitman makes no such demands.
To play Hitman with everything turned up and on your looking at something around this mark.
Pentium 1.8 or AMD equivalent, 384+ MB RAM with a basic Geforce FX card like the 5200 or 5600 FX or the Radeon equivalent. Turning up things like anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering can increase the demands though, but all in all you won’t need to shell out huge amounts of money to be able to play this game.
CONCLUSION:
In all Hitman 3: Contracts is a solid third person action shooter, with modest graphics and sound to match the modest game play. There’s lots of blood and guts and ruthless moments...

...Hitman : codename 47 is the best game I have ever played on the PC.
First of all I would just like say that the graphics are stunning, lots of great detail.
The playability is brilliant, plenty of thinking involved, lots of action to go with it, not just a shoot em up.
The levels are very complex and requires a lot of thought, the weaponry options are great(the perfect hitmans toolbag)lots to choose from.
I think it is the best £30 I have ever spent on a computer game, I definatly wont be trading this one in, for a long time anyway....

...taking out random Yakuza gangster without them having a clue where its coming from! By far the most exhilarating feeling comes from walking into a room full of criminals, with a silenced berretta in each hand, and taking them out before they can even reach for their guns!
You can pick up Hitman from any software outlet for a mere 20 pounds or so. And boy oh boy is it worth it! This game will have you glued to your computer for weeks!...
