Advantages: No "Fake Tan" Smell, Fantastic Colour Disadvantages: Drying Time
As someone who has used many Fake Tan products over the years I am very critical of them.
I have been orange, brown, green! The other downsides with alot of Fake Tanning products is that they have that horrible smell.
Fake Bake is completely different.
The first good thing about it is that because it goes on a black/greeny colour it is very easy to see where you have applied it - this insures an even coverage.
The second good point is that it does not have a strong smell like some brands of fake tan.
Next, when you wash off in the morning you are left with a golden colour after only one application.
The only downpoints are that it takes about 30 mins to dry, and also you MUST wash it off - otherwise your left with the black/greeny colour guide on your skin and clothes!
I have also found it not that good for facial ...
Advantages: Streak-free, nice colour - not orange Disadvantages: Time consuming, needs to be reapplied for darker colour
I've always been happy using my usual L'Oreal tan, but since coming onto Ciao I have become curious about Fake Bake, after reading a few positive and negative reviews I decided to buy it and see for myself. Packaging

It advises you to exfoliate and moisturise right before using the tan, to always use gloves when applying, then to allow it to dry for 20 minutes before dressing or going to bed. It continues to advise that ...
Advantages: gorgeous colour, easy to apply, lasts ages, even tanning Disadvantages: quite expensive, colours sheets
I am one of those people who hates the fact that I live in a cold and gloomy place (Scotland) I love to be tanned but I have heard so many scary stories about using tanning beds that I avoid them at all costs!
This means that my only options for getting a tan are to go on holiday (not so practical!) or to use fake tan. However I have had far too many experiences where I turn a glowing orange/yellow as opposed to a sun kissed brown.
I tried fake bake because I decided I wanted to try something a little bit more expensive than my previous fake tans. I hadn't really heard a lot about it but when I tested a variety of the fake tans on offer in Harvey Nichols fake bake seemed to be the one that suited me the best.
I first tried the fake bake airbrush tan which I think was around £25. Although it did give a beautifully genuine looking ...
