Advantages: cheaper than a salon wax Disadvantages: don't actually work so you'd need to pay for the salon wax on top of this
...I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks and I really dont want to be shaving every day as it leaves me with a bit of a rash and I didn't want to fork out for a salon wax so I thought I'd try the new Veet (formerly known as Immac) Ready To Use WaxStrips that I saw advertised on the telly (the one where the girls friends wax her legs for her). I chose Sensitive not because I actually have sensitive skin but because I'm a bit of a wimp and thought it might just be less painful.
My local Boots was out of stock of these so I picked up a pack at John Lewis for £5.95. What you get is a rectangular white and orange box as in the picture above. Its says it has "20 quick and easy to use waxstrips" on the front. Inside the box are 2 foil wrapped sachets with 10 strips in each and an instruction leaflet.
I'll go through the details...

We are so very often the puppets of the money making machine, and we buy because we let the voice of the money making machine, with it’s clever adverts and marketing propaganda ring louder in our ears than our own clear, simple truth. And what is that truth? Simple. We are beautiful, every one of us - with or without the body hair. Say it loud and believe it because you know inside that it’s true!!!
Veet. Artist formally known as Immac.
Well if someone stopped me in the street and said I had to name a depilatory (is that how you say that word??!) product, the only one that would come to mind is this one. But I would probably call it Immac, as that’s what it’s always been...

I decided to buy this product because it was cheap and I have heard so many people say that waxing is the best form of hair removal.

I have only had my legs professionally waxed once, years ago. At the time I was amazed how this was removed all of the hairs in one go and they didn`t grow back for a few weeks. That was the one and only time, I didn`t think it hurt much, it was... more
