The foil sachet was quite difficult to open even tearing along the bit you're supposed to tear and didn't open properly so I had trouble getting the strips out. When you take a set of strips out of the sachet they look and feel fairly horrible. You've got 2 greaseproof paper strips sandwiched together around some gummy orange wax. They tell you to rub it between your fingers for 30 seconds to warm them up but this isn't easy. I think the best way to warm them up would be to sit on them as rubbing them between your fingers doesn't seem to do the job. ...After trying Boots single use wax strips and being a bit disappointed (Boots rarely let me down) I decided to dig a bit deeper in my pocket and buy Immac (also known as Veet) wax strips. You get 12 reusable strips (reusable up to 4 times) and they cost £5.99. The wax is blue and gel like and is quite thick and sticky. The backing paper is soft and very pliable and the strips stick VERY well to the area of choice. There is a little pain but I’ve found this to be the case with all brands of wax strips, except for Boots. The pain only lasts a split second when you rip the strips off. The main thing is that the Immac strips do work. When I used them I found that I did not have to do the same area twice. ...beforehand just to make sure that you are not sensitive to the product. Do this test 24 hours before you want to wax a larger area and this will let you know if you should use the it or not. Opening the box I came across a wad of thick paper strips, in fact there were 20 in total. Also included in the kit were 3 different sized spatulas. Two large ones for using on legs and a smaller one, which I presume, is for using on facial applications. Nestled at the bottom of the box was a good-sized glass jar of green gel. It looked just like hair gel and again the packaging was understated and simple. As I unscrewed the white lid I stuck my nose in for a good sniff, but there wasn’t really an aroma to speak of.
