Advantages: cheaper than a salon wax
Disadvantages: don't actually work so you'd need to pay for the salon wax on top of this

...on the leaflet inside to save you having to read it yourselves and then I'll tell you how I got on with it. The precautions tell you to keep out of reach of children, do not swallow (why would you?) and avoid contact with eyes. It also tells you to test it on a small part of the skin before using it for the first time but I don't know anyone who actually does this, but I suppose its the right thing for people with sensitive skin which this marketed at. It also says its not suitable for diabetics, the elderly and people taking prescribed medication for acne. Do not use on spots, cuts, varicose veins, beauty spots, broken, irritated or sunburnt skin or on skin which has suffered an adverse reaction to waxes in the past. It also states that it is for use on any body part APART from the breast or perianal or genital areas or eyebrows, nose or ears... Read review

Advantages: Fuzz free legs for 2 weeks
Disadvantages: Slightly painful, not enough cotton strips, wax doesn't stay hot

...melts the wax leaving it free to be rolled onto your legs using the roll on applicator. What could be easier? So, off I toddled to the bathroom, armed with the necessary equipment. Knowing how bad I am at working up the nerve to actually rip off the strip, I employed the services of my best friend to help. After checking first that I didn’t *have any spots, cuts, varicose veins, beauty spots, broken, irritated, sunburnt skin or skin that has suffered an adverse reaction to waxes in the past, that I wasn’t *elderly, diabetic or taking prescribed medicine for acne, I proceeded to fill the container with very hot (not boiling!) water and insert the wax tube.
