Advantages: Great Beginner model at a great all in price Disadvantages: Does need a few little extras that soon add up
...So I decided I needed to get myself a new hobby, one that I could also enjoy with my son though. This helps as it pleases my wife because it gets us from under her feet, whilst also helping me to bring myself up to his level.
Long and hard I thought about this dilemma then I thought about this then I had a flashback to my childhood, how I used to love going with my granddad to race the radio control car he had bought me.
So my birthday was bearing down on me and my wife had been asking me what I might like for my main present, this is because I am so hard to buy for. I am like any bloke I tend to go from fad to fad and get bored all too easy.
I would like a radio control car I said, then we...(she) set to scouring the net for the perfect candidate to satisfy this request.
Eventually after a long hard toil scouring the net...

Advantages: Sorry, None, Even the price is too much, compared to more serious models. Disadvantages: Uncontrollable, Bad transmitter/receiver set, Too expensive, no replacement parts when damaged.
...I got one as a present, two months ago, not hindered by any knowledge about rc helicopter flying.
It took me about 2 hours to crash it in such a way that the helicopter was unrecoverable. ( broken tailboom )
The transmitter / receiver set is crap and caused me to loose control in the last crash. The helicopter was about 30 yards away from me and could not be controlled anymore.

The fact that it has only 3 channels for control makes it impossible to control.
You need at least 4 channels to succesfully hover a helicopter:
1 Throttle ( up/down )
2 Rotate tail
3 Forward / Backward ( elevators )
4 Roll left / right ( ailerons )
For a few dollars more it is possible to buy...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: All the parts are so poor quality

So I fired up the car and I had one tank of fuel through the car when on the second tank of fuel the very bad quality pull start broke, so I have decided am going to purchase an Electric Starter for it, and hope all the problems go away (I really know this thing is never going to run well). So after 3 months after purchasing this product I still have not had a chance to get good use out of it, as every time you use the model something falls out or snaps or the servo brakes, the list is never ending. Overall the product is officially the worst RC Car I have ever had. All the parts will break, as they are all such bad quality, and as for the transmitter, well I am not even going there. Do not buy this RC Car it is a pile...

If you didn't get one of these with your Canon, and are serious about photography then it really is a must have.
The good thing about this remote is it's dual function, not only will it allow you to perform a shutter release but it will also allow... more
