This is a well laid out site and easy to navigate; allowing one to choose Hotels with parking, Hotels, Parking, Travelling to Airports by rail and Hotels by coach and Airport lounge reservations. A very comprehensive service.
To book a hotel with parking, for instance, at or near an airport, one enters the airport; day of arrival and date car will be collected. The next step shows a list of hotels with and/or without free parking. Free Parking is usually about 15 days.
Having chosen the Hotel, click the hotel name and you are presented with a list of facilities offered which is comprehensive and more often than not includes free transfers to and from the airport. You than have to go back and click the small suitcase in the line beneath the Hotel name and you are presented with a choice of rooms. This sequence is tedious and needs some working out for a first time user. Not at all intuitive.
The next step calls for Name Address etc. and card details. The last step is payment and confirmation at which point you receive a booking reference.
Nothing could be simpler except for the problem mentioned earlier and the fact that the pages are painfully slows loading.
The same sequence of events applies to travelling to the Hotel or Airport by rail or bus except that the Rail or Bus booking is added.
Parking, Hotel and Airport Lounge reservations follow much the same pattern.
Although it takes a long time to complete whatever one has chosen to set up, I still find it preferable to going through an agent as I can take some time over making my decisions and change things as I go along before finalising the deal.
Although the site is called ‘Holiday Extras’ I use it to do my business travel bookings and have, so far, been very satisfied with the results.
