...experiences of buying direct from Hollister Co in USA to be delivered to a UK address. The first, a couple of years ago, was not so good as I was stung by UK customs and excise! Hollister Co. is a casual clothing store that has a Californian vibe. It's owned by Abercrombie & Fitch, who also owns Ruehl, abercrombie kids, and Gilly Hicks. The clothes are targeted for 12-17 year olds. The store itself has a great atmosphere. Hollister clothing is owned by the same people as Abercrombie and Fitch, and is of the same style and quality, but cheaper as they don't pay as much attention to detail, for example Abercrombie Polo Shirts are lined with luxurious velvet piping, whereas the Hollister Polo's are lined with rough canvas piping. This is a small price to may however for the enormous price difference... some items, hoodies for example are half the price in Hollister compared ...

Frankly the clothing is very similar, just ever so slightly cheaper, and is made to look more ‘Californian.’ Their website is divided into Betty shop (for girls) and Dudes shop (for guys.) ...I often end up buying Hollister products, as I personally find they are usually identical (prob made by the same people) but a bit cheaper. I also find that in their own right they are great value compared with some of the high street stores over here, as they are cheaper, and much better quality.
