Advantages: customer service and sony quality
Disadvantages: bit too priecy

...A little bit expensive for what you get, and when we brought it home the fact that it didn't actually work was a downer, however the customer service we received regarding the problem was absolutely fantastic. The Sony KDL-40 U 2000 is quite pricey and not as flash as some, but the quality of the image is quite something else. Personally I'm quite a fan of the planet earth series and to see this in what they call true color, which is as close to nature as its possible to get is quite breathtaking. This is all down to the new BRAVIA ENGINE, pioneering technology in color reproduction. However be warned, when watching your favorite Hollywood heartthrob, you may be in for a nasty shock when this new level of definition reveals exactly what's hidden beneath the makeup.... The BAD About half the storage spave of Blu Ray Limited choice of players Not as much support from Hollywood studios (This could very well as none of the Hollywood studios have ruled out producing HD DVDs) The backing, although smaller than Blu Ray, has Toshiba, Sanyo, NEC and the heavyweight MICROSOFT in it's corner. Because of the price issue most experts believe that HD DVD will sell more units than Blu Ray, especially when the Chinese start producing it. Advantages: Great TV, what more can I say.
Disadvantages: Not a 34 incher.

...shops until I became utterly convinced that “what this family needed was a big mother” and the big mother was to take the shape of another Hitachi, yes the 32” Wide Screen Pro Logic…C28W411TN…zzzzzzz…… snore…. Not the most memorable name I agree, but a big Television Receiver Set indeed. My how proud I was when the nice engineer put the monster in our sitting room and almost evicted us to the dining room. Don’t worry, don’t despair, once we repositioned the furniture we where there! “Oh please!” Now technically these things look small in the showroom and bloody big in your house. But as in all things after a while they look normal. I love it, watched all my fav movies: Highlander, Matrix, Gladiator: Maximus what a big boy he is on Wide Screen!, Barney Live in Hollywood...
