bose cinemate
Advantages: fantasic surround simple to use Disadvantages: only avalable in black
...the room?
if so the bose cinemate could be the right way to go, just two stereo speakers placed one on either side of your tv an d a sub placed in any location in the same room, will deliver a crystal clear and fuller sound.
you have a small remote receiver that you would place under the tv and a remote control which can be programmed to work the basic functions of most televisions.
the connections could nt be simpler, just 3 cables to attach ...

HEAVENLY HOME THEATRE SOLUTION
Advantages: good looking & good sound output Disadvantages: not the best for surround sound, you would need additional speakers
This is a heavenly home theatre solution. I was lured by the beautiful clean design... It is chic, smart, and works gorgeously in a modern home atmosphere. with "Philips' Ambisound technology", it creates a great sound experience without the need for multiple speakers, that usually clutter your home environment. Speaking of speakers, the Soundbar makes use of six built-in 51mm full-range drivers and an external 6.5in long-throw subwoofer. For the ... ...Blu-ray drive, complete with support for BD-Live, so it will playback all your high-def movies in 1080p as well as upscale your standard-def DVDs. It will playback DivX Ultra, MPEG1, MPEG2, AVCHD, avi, MKV, MPEG4, WMV and XviD video formats, as well as photo slideshows. I would recommend pairing it with the brilliant aesthetics of the stunning Aura LCD screen! ...

Small but VERY Powerful
Advantages: Incredible Sound, Modern Look, Tasteful Design Disadvantages: Don't come with Speaker Cables (except the amp)
...I recently purchased the new Pioneer VSX-917 Amp and was looking for a new set of speakers as my old Panasonics just weren't cutting it any more. I was undecided wether or not to buy a set of floor standing speakers or to go for the more compact bookshelf speakers. I spent hours doing some research on the net and basically what most experts say is that if you have a decent sub you can still get incredible sound using satellite or bookshelf speakers ... ...90 - 150 Watts. The Pioneer SV-70-IV is 130 watts per channel so it powerfull enough for about 90% of the the entire Pioneer range of Amps. The package consists of 4 x 3way bookshelf speakers, a centre speaker and a 160 watt (RMS) active sub woofer. The full technical specs are as follows: Bookshelf Speakers S-V70-IV Woofer 2 x 7.7cm cone woofers Tweeter 2cm dome tweeter Impedance 8 Ω Frequency Range 60 - 40,000 Hz Sensitivity 89 dB Power Handling ...

HOME CINEMA ON A BUDGET? TRY THESE.
Advantages: Small, unobtrusive satellite speakers. Disadvantages: Not as good as larger speakers.
...speaker would improve the sound quality on, let's face it, the most important speaker in the system(the dialogue channel). Tannoy do in fact make a centre speaker for about £100, although if you have plenty of available cash, there is also the castle centre speaker for £250. Enjoy!!! ...

mmmmm
Advantages: Good price good looks even sound Disadvantages: build quality and short on top end
Well I had seen a review on this kit in what hi fi and fell in love with the speakers purely on looks and others opinions. Big mistake, after saving the required £600 I bundled them into the car without a full demo from my local dealer, when I unpacked the sats I found a few badly finished edges and a lack of detailed set up instructions for the sub.
Still full of excitement I continued with my quest and set the speakers round the room and wired ... ...with my heart racing for joy, then it dropped like a bomb. The speakers sounded like something pinched off a matsui mini system.
I fiddled with the settings on my amp, then the array of controls on the back of the sub but to no avail, I contacted the supplier who said I needed to run the speakers in for about 36 hrs. 48 hrs later of continual running in and although there was a marked improvement I still found myself feeling that they lacked some ...
