I bought the sony satelite system about 8 months ago. I did have a sony 5.1 system before but decided to change it as i had just bought a new plasma and wanted a surround system to compliment the looks of the plasma mainly (my tv's piano black as is the dav subwoofer). I knew the quality of the dav-is 10 was there but when i tested it i thought the power output was quite low but at the price it was the best option for the subtle, cosmetically smart ...
...- especially with the skinny sony stands you can buy (70 pounds for the pair - well worth it). The subwoofer is the main output here. The bass and mid all come from this and to be fair it gives out a lot if you take into account that the 5 satelites give pure treble and no bass at all. Disadvantages: no divx but otherwise perfect

...- designed to complement the sony Bravia TVs (which I have!) The unit was really easy to set up, just follow the on screen wizard, and it comes with a microphone for calibrating the speakers, which was fun. The sound quality is excellent on DVDs, CDs and normal TV, and the picture quality on scart and HDMI is superb, the home theatre sync is a nice touch and complements the smart remote control. ...even working. i bought a philips 32" flat screen the same time as these and it all cost 1750 euros, im just waiting for that to break down now. it makes me sick that companies can sell electrical equipment for such high prices and then they dont even work. i always thought philips was an expensive make because it was a good make. i couldnt have been more wrong. well i am going to fight to get a replacement or my money back because i dont think they ...
