This machine has the sound i required and lots of other features besides but the thing i found hardest was when setting it up so that you can have sound from a sky hd system running through it. Had it since december of last year and nothing has gone wrong on it. The surround sound system is made up of 5 small speakers each with equal power, and a subwoofer. The DVD player has a built in radio allowing AM and FM radio, and the FM radio has RDS so everytime the news and weather is broadcasted on other stations it automaticly changes station. The PTY funciton allows you to chose a genre of music and it will search for a radio station playing ...

As soon as the DVD player is put on, its usualy set to radio and the sound mode is usualy set to 'bypass', sound only comes out of one speaker, so i have to change the mode to get the setting where sound comes out of all of them which is rather annoying everytime i want to listen to music in surround sound. Advantages: You can play DVD and record it to a video. Hear music from CD and watch movies with full surround sound system, just like at the cinema.
Disadvantages: Who likes to watch VIDEOS these days? It doesn't record DVDs.
