Got this product as a christmas present back last year, within 9 months of buying it two of the speakers have blown. replaced the main two front speakers with two 750watt awia speakers and they run purrfic. now the system has more depth and volume. the dvd player's 5.1 output is very quiet but we use the 2channel output (headphone socket in TV) and use the surround boost on the unit and it works brilliant. i would recommend this and then change ... This is the best hifi i have owned Quality sound on all music types Many features from Bass to club Rock Classical etc. 5 CD Changer which saves alot of hassle changing cds. This Hifi Kicks out the sound too i rekon with afew more speakers you could use this as DJ Equiment for a part. The sound when in Pro Logic ll mode is outstanding, if I can remember now I had Apocalpse Now on and at the beginning of the film is a helicopter that flew past which I heard traveling through each speaker at a different time so the helicopter started on one side of the room and went around the whole room to finish back were it started. I purchased this home cinema system over 2-3 years ago. The DVD Player is sleak in design and has a digital display which has a mirrored effect on it when turned off. It is also has a solid build and weighs more that your average DVD player.
