Don't buy this if you want true surround sound
Review of Pioneer DCS-370 by
pksmith
Advantages: Ok for DVD surround
Disadvantages: No TV surround. No digital optical cable.
Pioneer have really let the side down with this model. It is not capable of converting TV sounds sources to Pro Logic surround sound!! The best you get is stereo from the front two speakers via a RF cable. It doesn't even have a digital optical cable! What a let down! As a DVD player it does what I expect it to but the reason people buy these systems is for full surround, including the ability to convert TV sound to surround. Not worth the money ...

Pioneering Home Cinema
Review of Pioneer NS-DV 55 by
jacksona
Advantages: Compact, Pretty, Wife Pleaser!
Disadvantages: Complicated Remote, Reliability
...no problem. On contacting Pioneer Customer Services they directed me to an approved service centre who are going to charge £40 just to look at it! After having my previous system for considerably longer (and a cheap one at that!) I can honestly say I am disappointed with the reliability of this machine. My only other problem with the machine is that the remote control has so many buttons that it is somewhat overwhelming - especially when your wife ...

Pioneer DCS 525
Review of Pioneer DCS525 by
tgrigg
Advantages: Rear wireless speaker, Great Sound and Picture
Disadvantages: None
The Pioneer DCS 525 comprises of a DVD player, subwoofer and 4 speakers packaged together. I bought this system from Internet for the very reasonable price of £350
The heart of the system is a DVD player, tuner, alarm clock and 100 watt subwoofer combined together in a compact and slim design.
To give the home cinema effect, four speakers are provided. These comprise of a sub-woofer and four satellite speakers. These speakers seem pretty robust ... ...buy this Home Cinema or Pioneer DCS323 Home cinema kit. I went for system as the rear speaker was wireless and it saved having a mess of cables around my room.
I would recommend this system to anybody who is thinking about getting a home cinema system. For £350 a little expensive but well worth it you can’t really go wrong, especially with the amount of features that are on offer. It also makes as good alarm clock to get you out of bed for work ...

My Low budget competes with fussy mind
Review of Pioneer DCS 313 by
skulls_Hawk
Advantages: Price, ease of use
Disadvantages: Problem with movies longer than 172 mins.
I like a decent surround sound when I watch movies, but didn't want to spend £900. I saw this system, and knowing pioneer, decided to get it. At just over £200, I was a little sceptical, but was pleasantly surprised. It was easy to install, the sound is great, and the picture is crystal clear.
Given the price, and the amount of functions on this system, I could not find a better system, no matter how much I searched. There is virtually nothing this ... ...a cd place it in the DVD drive, and it will run a slide show of those images on your TV. It can play Mp3's and Windows Media files. It is also fully DTS capable.
The picture qualiity is great. The sound is excellent, and it has several preset configurations, eg, Cinema, gaming, music etc. It also has the midnight mode, with 2 settings, and dialogue enhancement also with 2 modes. The remote is fully functional and pretty easy to drive.
The only ...

Pioneer DCS 360
Review of Pioneer DCS-360 by
GhostUK
Advantages: Great looking, Great brand in Pioneer, Great sound quality
Disadvantages: Sound output could be higher
The pioneer DCS 360 home cinema system, is a great looking system and one that really delivers. This stylish design consists of the DVD player, sub woofer and 5 tall floor standing speakers with a black wooden design. All of which are magnetically shielded to decrease any interference on the signal quality caused by electrical supplies that maybe nearby.
With a total of 360W RMS it isnt the most powerful system on the market, however the quality ... ...the market at present, and pioneer have been well known for developing some of the best audio systems over the last 5 years. I would strongly recommend anyone that is considering purchasing a new home cinema system, to take this one into account. Summary: Despite the low output you will not be disappointed with this system. ...
