Don't buy this if you want true surround sound
Review of Pioneer DCS-370 by
pksmith
Advantages: Ok for DVD surround
Disadvantages: No TV surround. No digital optical cable.
Pioneer have really let the side down with this model. It is not capable of converting TV sounds sources to Pro Logic surround sound!! The best you get is stereo from the front two speakers via a RF cable. It doesn't even have a digital optical cable! What a let down! As a DVD player it does what I expect it to but the reason people buy these systems is for full surround, including the ability to convert TV sound to surround. Not worth the money ...

Bose 321 GS
Review of Bose 321 GS by
walshy747
Advantages: Sleek Elegant Design, Top quality sound, Includes DVD and Radio into one compact box.
Disadvantages: You can get distorted sound on the radio.
The Bose 321 Gs is a stunning product. Just at a glance the sleek design of the product hits you straight in the face and pulls you in. The design and the colors are just beautiful and just screams to you buy me. If you like the smooth elegant design then this is indefinably the product for you.
The actually product also follows on from the excellent design work. The product consists of 2 speakers and a Subwoofer. It also has a DVD player and a ... ...lack of wires. The bose system consists of only 3 wires connecting the system together and your ready to go.
Overall although bose is either a love or hate product i can defiantly say that maybe the price is a bit to expensive but i do recommend this product. ...

Sony does it again!!
Review of Sony HTSS 1100 by
Steppy23
Advantages: Seperate Amp, easy setup, multiple inputs
Disadvantages: None
...helpful chap at the local Sony Centre said that he could not really notice a difference between these speakers and the floor standing ones. The rest of the system is identical.
Finally as testament to how good this system is I have just finished installing the same setup at my Dad\'s house. I am truly amazed at the functions and quality of this product for the price. I thought that I might upgrade the speakers at a later date but having now installed ...

HOME CINEMA AT ITS BEST
Review of Panasonic SC-MT 1 by
PJAYS
Advantages: BRINGS FILMS TO LIFE
Disadvantages: SUB-WOOFER LOOKS BULKY IN FRONT OF TELEVISION
I have just purchased the Panasonic SCMT1, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be `in` the film as well as watching it!, it is that good.
The first film I put in was Bad Boys 2, and the bullets were whistling around my living room so much, I kept ducking and diving!.
I can not tell you if this system is any better than any other make. The one thing I can say is “You will not be disappointed” Just to show you how good it is, I put the ... ...AM/FM radio.
I purchased this Panasonic on the Web, after doing a lot of research , both for `quality` and of course price. I always consult `PRICERUNNER.COM`, before I buy anything. They are not always up to spec, but they are never far out. The best deal at the time was from ¬TECHTRONICS`, AN INTERNET BASED ELECTRONICS COMPANY, and I paid an extra £20 to have it adjusted to play `MULTI-REGION DVD’S, which really recommend to anyone, especially ...

Goodmans 1990 DVDF
Review of Goodmans 1990DVD by
markybaby76
Advantages: Cheap, Built In Freeview, Small, Compact, Pleasing to the eye
Disadvantages: Poor Sound quality, No Dolby Pro Logic, getts hot
I purchased this based on price. Big mistake! While it does have alot of features including Freeview, the sound quality is awful if you connect all the speakers. Basically if you connect the subwoofer it creates a buzzing sound that is very intrusive ant any volume, even if you press mute on the remote the subwoofer buzzes away. The remedy for this I found was to disconnect the subwoofer and change the sound settings to joint stereo, but then you ... ...that it has a place in the home as an economy 5.1 home entertainment system. It has Freeview, CD/DVD with Jpeg and MP3 support, plays DIVX Files, FM/MW radio, optical output and AUX in. But it appears that price matters when you but audio equipment, but on a plus note it plays DIVX and I have only just discovered this so I have rerated the product based on this feature as I see it as a majour plus. ...
