Sony DAV-IS 10
Review of Sony DAV-IS 10 by EasyExercise.co.uk

Advantages: Picture, Sound, Design, Small Speakers
Disadvantages: Price

...can be viewed on the Sony website. What Attracted Me To This System? I wanted something that was modern looking and sophisticated. It was highly rated by What Hi-Fi? The speakers are very "subtle" and wall mountable - I didn't want large in your face speakers. Sony is a quality brand that I rate. I wanted something that gave good sound quality from music CD's (I use it as a Hi-Fi as well). My Verdict? Whilst I wouldn't class myself as a "tv/vision/hi-fi" ...
...The music quality from CD's is cracking, considering this is not a dedicated music player. The bass is not overpowering, just a quality feeling. The mid range from the 5 wall mounted speakers is also superb (especially given their size - I still wander how they can produce the sound they do!!!). When watching DVD's the sound quality really does bring the film to life (very realistic sound reproduction). Setting up the DVD player was straight forward ... Read review

Good quality system
Review of Samsung HT-THX 25 by MrsNL

Advantages: excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: base of speakers takes up more space than expected

The sound quality through these speakers is excellent and the sub woofer is fantastic. The DVD player can play just about anything but found when I played a CD in it there was no screensaver so you have to make sure you press the button to bring up the CD information or you run the risk of getting screen burn or so my husband says. We use ours with a samsug TV, I don't know if this makes a difference or not but I have fund that the DVD player woks ...
...I think it may have been a little tricky to install but my husband did it and it seemed to take quite a long time. I find the speakers although they are quite sleek looking they still take up quite a lot of unnecessary floor space due to the big bases. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who asked. ... Don't buy this if you want true surround sound
Review of Pioneer DCS-370 by pksmith

Advantages: Ok for DVD surround
Disadvantages: No TV surround. No digital optical cable.

Pioneer have really let the side down with this model. It is not capable of converting TV sounds sources to Pro Logic surround sound!! The best you get is stereo from the front two speakers via a RF cable. It doesn't even have a digital optical cable! What a let down! As a DVD player it does what I expect it to but the reason people buy these systems is for full surround, including the ability to convert TV sound to surround. Not worth the money ... Read review

Bose V30 Owners Review
Review of Bose Lifestyle V30 by SimonPilling

Advantages: Not restricted as to what you connect to it. Sounds and looks the best!
Disadvantages: Remote is too complex and long winded to setup

...& optical cables to the Bose media centre which through a single HDMI lead then connects to our tv get the best we can up to a 1080p screen from none HD devices. This also helps with the connecivity from all the devices to the Bose system and then the Bose system to the TV via HDMI. Dont forget an optical cable from the TV to the Bose for normal TV!. So very easy for wiring. As with a system at this cost you want the system to not only perform ...
...you know it! Therefore the Bose premium jewel speakers look great in white; The Bose V30 and Lifestyle 48 are the only systems to come with the tiny Bose premium jewel speakers! You can tell this by the white metal grille facials they have. The are even more discrete when installed to the walls ;-) For those who are after quality it's sound is consistant from very low volume to mid-volume and FYI we have not dared to take it past 40% as it is just ...
