After 15 years it's still relevant to me
Advantages: Good for homemaker types Disadvantages: none
I used to read Good Housekeeping magazine 15 years ago. I used to look forward to it coming out every month, and there was usually something of interest and value to me in it. I valued the fact that many aspects of it were relevant to my life - being down to earth and often practical - recipes, live issues, etc. It had reviews of the sorts of things I might want to buy, and the sort of recipes I might want to cook.
Then for various reasons I hardly ... ...I recently took out a subscription to it (tempted by their offer of a set of three baking trays because my supply had run low). And what is my impression now? Well, my view is the same as before. But I get the distinct impression that the magazine has kept its readership during the 15 years that I have been away. I think it has changed to include older women. It now has features older women - right up to their 70s. I don't think it used to do this. ...

...some ideas.
I spotted 25 BEAUTIFUL HOMES and decide to buy it for a browse through it. And gosh was I impressed by what I found - this magazine is full of home interiors for you to browse through - it has given me some wonderful ideas about what way i would liekto kit out my interior of my home.
The magazine caters for all types of taste - everything from barn homes to modern day homes and old homes that have been converted.
The layout is clear ... ...pictures inside. Unlike many magazines there are very few advertisments - so you are really getting value for money as there is good content.
This magazine really delivers what it says on its cover - and in my opinion well worth the money unlike so many other magazines in our shops today.
there are lots of good ideas - and its so nice to see around other ordinary peoples homes - whic is not so often done by other magazines who show us around the ...

best home improvement magazine on market
Advantages: cheap and helpful Disadvantages: uses expensive model furniture etc
...on real homes. Your Home gives you helpful information on how to tackle diy jobs such as laying underfloor heating, putting up a shed and also more simple tasks like re-vamping a photo frame.
This is a magazine aimed at women who want to do more than just pick a colour scheme or take up a curtain. Every month there are real make-over sections where people have written in with their own home-makeover (inc tips on how to do it yourself), jobs to do ... ...helpful ideas for brightening up your home.
My only disappointment with YourHome is that i think when showing furniture/accesories they recommend they should keep in line with the whole concept of the magazine - cheap and cheerful. A lot of the furniture/accesories shown are out of my price range and i feel this may reflect a lot of readers opinions. However, do not let this put you off as this is still a top magazine. ...

Ideal Home magazine
Advantages: A magazine bursting with home information and ideas Disadvantages: none
The Ideal Home..something that I will never own !
But just looking through the jam- packed magazine makes up for all of that.
A glossy covered magazine that is bursting with inspiration on how to design, decorate and furnish your home in the style of your choice..
But there are no articles that refer to `muddy boots and dog hair` !..a common problem in my home !
There are pages devoted to showing you just how beautiful a room can look, from the ... ...subscription is available for The Ideal Homes magazine, which is currently £20.50 for 12 issues, which is a great saving of 50% off of the full price.
The magazine run some good competitions and I enter them regularly, after all someone has to win !
Though I may not be able to avidly follow the elegant trends and styles shown in the magazine,it has given me many very useful tips for adding accessories to my own soft furnishings,to create a fresh new ...

Period Living Magazine
Advantages: Packed full of lovely things Disadvantages: No disadvantages
Being new to this magazine, I was drawn to it by the idyllic summer scene on the cover, not forgetting the use of such persuasive vocabulary as 'dream'.'nostalgia','hideaway','fresh' and..'budget'! The 'Celebrate Summer' section was most welcome as I gazed out at the dull Devon skies. 'The Restoration Man'... a story of a couple's renovation of their 16th century, North Devon home...was a joy to read...'the scars of a house are important'..this struck ... ...love the article about 'Benches,Seats and Settles. I surely need some comfort if I'm going to be a regular reader of this magazine!
After getting lost in a few more 'delicious' homes, I then spent more of my summertime in a gorgeous Kent cottage garden! The colour burst forth from the pages and the scent was not far behind.
I hope that the next isssue can live up to this one! ...
