Real vs Fake
Review of Christmas Trees by skorpy

Advantages: Prices and sizes Differ
Disadvantages: Pines falls off real ones, no natural pine smell on fake ones.

...decorating is with the beloved Christmas tree, which represents spiritual inspiration and a wonderful family tradition and to decorate the tree with garland, beads and ornaments. Topping it all off with a beautiful tree-topper, star, or angel. (Real Trees) As retailers gear up for another season of record-breaking sales, they offer more choices in types, styles and colours of trees. Whether you're looking for a real or artificial tree, the decision ...
...how detailed you want your Christmas tree to be, you can opt for all the goodies, or keep it simple with a pre-decorated tree. But ones that are already decorated to me is not so much fun. It is just a preference, but many people are willing to deal with the inconveniences of a real tree because they enjoy the fresh pine scent and natural beauty. Real Christmas trees are sold in farms and outside some superstores, and now you can find them from popular ... Read review

Hats for fun.
Review of Tissue Party Hats by mumsymary

Advantages: Fun.
Disadvantages: Do not last long

Tissue party hats. Soon it will be Christmas party time and I am sure you will have at some time worn /tried to wear a tissue party hat. Yours probably came out of a cracker. The tissue party hat out of a cracker rarely fits its floppy; falls over your eyes gets in the gravy, custard or even the wine. So be careful your hat will get very soggy and the colour might run These hats are usually made out of very thin tissue which will possibly rip. ...
...go to a party with tissue paper hats at your place . Tissue party hats can be bought in packs of 100 from http://www.allparty.co.uk/store/12825-100.shtml. They are very cheap 100 hats for £4.99. The tissue hats I have just mentioned come in a variety of colours. They are usually just crown shaped. A strip of tissue a couple of inches wide with a pointy edge. The ends of the hat are stuck together so they will fit a medium adult head. If you wish ... Read review

Very girly but not worth £19.99
Review of Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses White Fibre Optic Feather Christmas Tree by bertykat

Advantages: Looks really pretty when switched on, feels lovely and soft.
Disadvantages: With lights off looks a bit straggly

...going to fit into the Barbie decorated pot which would light the fibre optics so the feet left us a little confused. The contents nor instructions mention them but they fit nicely to the pot to give stability, something they must have discovered a while after first marketing them. Fully decorated and switched on it looks really beautiful and definitely Princessesque. Ours is very bright and twinkly with plenty of fibre optic strands and the base ...
...looks a little straggly but to be fair it looks very much like the picture on the box so no comeback on that one I certainly wouldn't have paid £19.99 for it but £9.99 didn't seem so bad. The girls decorated it themselves and think it's fantastic, which is the biggest thing, and as it isn't shedding, looks pretty stable and when switched on it more than makes up for oddish appearance during daylight hours. I'd say it would be a bargain at £5.00 ... Read review

Tinsel Sminshel?
Review of Tinsel by Haxrskilz

Advantages: Sparkly, eye catching.
Disadvantages: Solo usage.

...you will, what precisely does Tinsel do? That's right, absolutely nothing at all, yet we simply cannot have a Christmas without half of the rooms decked with the stuff. I suppose that having the ability to sparkle and gleam in any light does attract attention, even if the rustling noise it makes when moved is somewhat irritating. It is impossible to know what the person to have invented Tinsel was originally thinking - decorative string? Whatever ...
...inventor that we have Tinsel out each Christmas, decorating each window, door, wall, banister, tree and whatever else can be decorated with the stuff. Sure, it's pretty enough, and yes, it is a Christmas must have, but really, other than pulling apart to use as confetti, or hanging it on various pieces of your room, there is very little use for it the rest of the 95% of the year. ... Fab present
Review of Mandle Candle by samwest2008

Advantages: Great mood setter
Disadvantages: Quite pricey

Was given one of these as a moving in present and had heard about them before from other friends and of course on TV. As soon as you light it it starts to change colours. It is amazing to watch and we still can't work out how it does it. BAsically it works like a normal candle in that you light the wick and it burns down. As it brns though it also lights up around it and creates a lovely glow which changes colour. It looks great on the table just ...
...me it will be a talking point. You have to keep it boxed up between uses as it will fade otherwise which is a shame as it would be nice to keep it out on display all the time. I don't know exactly how much it cost as it was a gift but my friend seemed a bit miffed when she realised it would burn down like a normal candle which would suggest it was quite expensive. ...
