...massive bright blue sign with Hobbycraft in yellow letters so you cant really miss it even if you wanted to. The name gives it away but this is truly a store for people to buy crafts or even for people to find inspiration to begin a hobby that they might like. Disadvantages: Repair server VERY VERY BAD

Getting really angry right now, I used to work for Comet a few years back and while i was there I bought a 32inch panasonic TV with a 5 year cover, on the 8th of aug it went broke down making it unusable, called the comet repair line and they said someone will be out to in within 5days. so i thought fair enough atleast someone will come fix it. the guy came out and messed about with it and said oh i need to order a part we'll be back out a week ...
...call "oh we cant order that part anymore, someone will be out a week today to remove the fault part for repair" and they did! after countless phone calls complaining and such I got a phone call saying no we wont replace the TV and its still going to be another 10days till we repair it. so thats going to be jsut about 2months. I bought a laptop for my Son after Christmas last year. After 2 months the hard-drive broke and it had to be sent away for repair, when it came back the keyboard had not been correctly put back. A couple of months later, the same thing happened again and the hard-drive broke. Again the laptop was sent away for repair. Come October the laptop would not charge, we tested the power lead at home and found that this was not working so I took the lead ...
...me, so the power lead was left for repair. Two weeks later I received a telephone call telling me that they would need the laptop and they couldnt repair the charger without it? I took the laptop up and a week late was called to say it was ready for collection. After we got the laptop home, I found that an administrator account had been set up and that there was a virus on the pc that wasnt there previously and that a lot of files had been altered ... seems they like to take your money then after 2/3 day later they tell you it is out of stock, When we ordered our patio doors on the 22/07/2008 we where told they would be delivered on the 28/07/08. we where then informed they on the 24/07/08 that there was one item missing from our order IE; the fixed panel door it was not in stock, since then we have been given 2 different delivery date`s of stock but low and behold they did not arrive Today the ...
...promised delivery. When enquiries where made through the store manager i get insulted by his ranting and raving and i was told never to shop there again . If this is the way B&Q treat their customers I my family and friends will not shop there again. My advice to customers of B&Q check it is in stock before you pay for it or better still shop elswhere. I had just moved home and decided that rather than move my old sofa 200 miles at great expense I would treat myself to a new one. Having searched around on line for the best deal I was put off by the 90 day delivery quoted by some stores.
