...took out household insurance with Nationwide in January of this year. I shopped about first and they were the cheapest by far. They quoted me £19.30 a month for household insurance and accidental damage cover. As i live in London it was around £10 per month cheaper than any other quote i had got. ...if i was covered and they were so helpful, i was told yes i was covered and he took all the details over the phone and said a claim form would be in the post that day. The form arrived the following day, i filled it in and sent it back and i had a cheque for the full cost within a week. Natwest home insurance are fabulous. Easy to set up and talk to, everything can be done by phone. The costs are actually quite good and the cover is excellent. Fortunately we haven't had to use it more than once, but when we did I must say I was impressed. We recently travelled to Cuba and on our return to Manchester airport after a 10 hour flight over night, my youngest son put down his bag whilst helping us get the luggage off the belt. They replaced both his psp and his nintendo ds and all his games, which was a big relief.
