A Generally Good Starting Point
Review of The Complete Illustrated Guide to Feng Shui - Lillian Too by Juliette

Advantages: teaches all the important basics of the science so you can set to work and study your home!
Disadvantages: can seem too much information at times but with patience it will all be clear

...Generally this book gives the background and history of the subject including the different schools of practise. You must take it steadily and wade through it or else you will get lost if you are a beginner. Lillian Too has written many books on the subject including a space clearing and purification kit which I have reviewed at Ciao also (try clicking on my name, to the <left). She is well versed in the science and has contact with a feng shui master ...
...can they? It covers all the basics you would need to know in order to study your own home, by the end of it you should know how to find whether each of your family members are east or west group, which group your house fits into therefore telling you which of your family members your house is most supportive to, you can work out everyone's best and worst directions in order to activate the best luck for everyone. You can ideally find out whether ... Read review

Calling all fellow feng shui freaks!
Review of Space Clearing Kit - Lillian Too by Juliette

Advantages: gets you in touch with the energies of your home
Disadvantages: the singing bowl might be a little noisy for neighbours

...the purpose and practise of space clearing and purification. I obtained my pack from a book club I recently joined (if you are interested try visiting www.offer.mind-body-spirit.co.uk for a glimpse of their joining offer.) I read the book immediately as it doesn't have a great deal of pages. It gives methods of clearing bad chi from your home, from the use of a mirror, bells or the Singing Bowl (you tap it with the mallet and it makes a wonderful ...
...move on to purify the space using energized water or the incense. The kit is easy to use and the bowl is really beautiful, in appearance as well as sound. Traditionally Singing bowls are made from 7 different metals which include gold and silver. You can use chanting or whatever you feel most comfortable with. Advantages: Helpful, fun, colourful
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

This is a must have book for any Colin and Justin fan, anyone thinking of decorating their home, or anyone interested in interior design. The book is separated into different chapters for different rooms, and sub categories for each of them rooms (i.e. wallpaper, carpet e.t.c.). There are colourful pictures to illustrate the before and after shots. The before shots have a short write up to explain the problems in true Colin and Justin style. The ...

Making a Start!
Review of The Ilustrated Encyclopedia of Feng Shui - Lillian Too by BessieBadger

Advantages: Well laid out and very interesting
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

...Lillian Too is acknowledged as the doyenne of Feng Shui and I hadn't read any of her books before, although I had looked at her website. This book is one that can be casually browsed, or read in depth and would make a wonderful present for anyone, especially those that appear to have everything. I haven't put her ideas into practise yet, but am intending to make a few minor changes. A beautiful, well illustrated book which is a pleasure to read. ... Read review
