Advantages: Decent writing style, easy to read Disadvantages: Odd mix of storybook characters, just not as good as it could have been
...and danger, that perhaps only the children know about.
To begin with, the only danger is from the feeders. Although nasty, they are not inherently evil - they feed on negative emotion, so really, they are creations of the evil of mankind. Problems arise, however, as the more there is to feed on, the more feeders which come into existence. And once the feeders start to feed from a human, they encourage more negativity, seeking more to feed on.
An example of this forms one of the opening chapters of the book. Nest is woken by Pick, the sylvan guardian of the park, to help rescue a little runaway child. Escaping an unhappy home, the girl’s fear and misery attract the feeders. Although invisible to the child, they are amplifying her emotions, driving her into a darker circle of thought. Nest finds her standing at the edge of a cliff...

Advantages: A tense, thrilling tale that is steeped in history. Disadvantages: Can tend to get a bit confusing.
...While I was searching for Polish language books and cassettes at my Library, I came across the title "The Polish Officer". This isn't uncommon; library databases often suggest titles that arn't really related to your search. I thought nothing of it, until when working overtime at another library, I saw a copy lying on the counter, waiting to be shelved. This sets of a string of events which takes de Milja from settings...

Advantages: action-packed, good story, good book in general Disadvantages: not suited to everyone's tastes
...of the books is pure adventure. One of my favourite things about this book is the fact that you cannot really guess what will happen next. Some people have said it is too like JohnNichol's other books i.e. solider runs away from a fear and has to face it again. However, this is my first JohnNichol book so I cannot comment on this.
I could have written piles more in the Story section but that would spoil it for the readers. However, I can assure you that the plot is very good, probably a little over the top but still good.
Once you start the book, the chances are you will read it to the end within a week or two.
