...I bought this steamer mop about 6 months ago . I have mostly hard floors in my house, 1 very large boisterous dog and 2 mucky kids so I hate having to mop the floors. I thought i would try a simple steam mop, I didn't want anything to flash or a multi talented steam appliance, I just wanted a better faster easier alternative to string mops and soggy floors. The Home tek mop was a cheaper option than most of the other similar steam products It looked simple and straight forward but to be honest I didn't have a whole lot in faith in it becoming like a best friend. ...I recently purchased a Home-Tek steam mop on the advice of a friend, and I have to say that I have not been disapointed with it. It is really quick and easy to use, but I would advise that extra pads are purchased as it is a bit of pain having to keep washing and drying the same one. As I have young children it was important that the floor was not too wet after, and this mop does not leave too much water behind, and what is left drys very quickly. I would say that it is not very good on carpets, so if you are getting it for that reason be warned, it probably won't do the job and you may want to look at something better. ...retail price is £40. They are available all over nowadays, and because of the weight, postage is cheap so you can get an on line bargain. It only weighs less than three pounds, is comfortable to hold, and is easy to keep clean. One thing I found it was very efficient at, was cleaning barbeques etc Electric of course, straight from the mains. I wondered if the company was going to recommend a circuit breaker, but after checking, one was not required. The owner's manual was very easy to understand. It works at at 110 degrees Celcius. *Ten degrees above boiling point) It has the standard 1Year Guarantee Home-tek International Limited is actually a subsidiary of a Chinese company, but that does not mean cheap & nasty these days.
