Homebase is a large british based company that specialises in the sale of DIY, home and garden products.
Homebase sell a large range of different brands of paints such as: Dulux, Crown and Laura Ashley. They also offer their customers a service that allows the customers to choose their own colours by the staff using a simple machine.This machine (a paint mixer) will mix the paint in a couple of minutes, allowing for a quick and easy service for the customer.
Most Homebase stores offer the sale of boards and planks of wood. These are generally large and often need to be cut to size at a later date with many other major companies,Homebase however, offer the cutting free of charge there and then. Although this can take a number of minutes the customer generally saves time by doing this at the shop rather than at home. On top of the time saved it also generally means that the wood is then easier to transport home.
The staff at Homebase are friendly and extremely helpful and are encouraged to stay with a customer until they are satisfied. This is said to be the staffs main priority and they should drop what they are doing in order to assist the customer.
In my experience the refund or exchange system at Homebase runs smoothly and efficiently, the only requirement being that the item being returned or exchanged is accompanied by a receit.
Homebase regularly hold 10% discount weekends. These happen once a month and are exactly as they seem as all items in teh stores will be discounted by 10%.
At Homebase they offer customers the chance to earn themselves discount vouchers. This works in a similar way to the tesco club card. Basically the more you spend in Homebase the more money off vouchers you will recieve.

I am glad you had a good experience there. I mostly finf the staff in the London stores are not very helpful or knowledgeable. I know this because I used to work for the company.

Hello. Just a little more info i.e. comparison to B&Q and/or mentioning some more products as way of example would have allowed a VH rating. Homebase, I have found in general to be better with most of their home products compared to B&Q who do tend to overprice some of their things. N
