I was given the Sqsh foot massage pillow for a present on my birthday and was too polite too inform the giver I’d disliked and had got rid of it.. I was somewhat stuck for words when some months later I was given the SQUSH Neck Massage Pillow for Christmas. Anyway the embarrassing moment passed and this Sqsh languished in its box for a few months more.
While sorting through the stuff that tends to accumulate in my box room I came across this Sqsh and decided it needed to follow its mate. I unpacked it and stuck in the batteries to make sure it worked, which it did so I decided to give it a try. Was I surprised … what had seemed like irritating and frenetic vibrations of the foot cushion were actually pleasant and soothing in this variant
This Sqsh fits round your neck like a flight pillow. It’s covered in the same dark blue high denier, nylon spandex fabric which feels fleecy. It’s filled with the same tiny expanded polystyrene beads and also has 2 power settings. I have no idea why this one doesn’t set off that resonance in my teeth and through my bones. In fact I’d expected it to feel worse than the foot cushion being nearer my head and all. Maybe there’s more shielding around the motor parts
The low setting is quite a soothing low intensity hum and the higher setting is more potent and a bit noisier. Neither of the settings is very noisy, and the noise they produce isn’t an irritating one
The battery function on this Sqsh is good as it’s very useful when travelling. It supports your heads and feels very pleasant and can’t be heard over the engine sounds
