    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as durable as professional tool.

    My £99 Homelite (plus safety gear) has just felled and logged 1/2 dozen 25-40ft. ash and sycamore. Pros. Easy starting, light to handle, didn't struggle at all on 10-12inch trunks, little vibration and it cost less than paying for the job to be done - and I' ve still got the saw! Cons. Uses lots of chain oil, the chain drive area could get clogged with oily sawdust if not cleaned out regularly. Advice. Keep chain sharp, clean of sap residue and check its tension regularly when in use. Clean out build up of oily sawdust from inside chain drive box. By following running and maintenance ... more
