...stand the media attention. Cue Posh!! At this stage the Spice Girls were famous, and as many a young lad did and still does, he realized he fancied Posh and hoped he could someday meet her. By chance, Posh and Mel C attended a game at Old Trafford and he was introduced to her after the match. I reckon someone must have engineered it, but he doesn’t say so, only that Simon Fuller introduced them to each other. Posh comes into her own, not having a clue about football, and as David says, he could have been on either side and she wouldn’t have known! She left before he could get her phone number, but the next day she was doing a photo shoot at Old Trafford, and he managed to get her number. Advantages: A celebration of nature Disadvantages: You might be an anorak
...How to be a Bad Bird Watcher is a wonderful lyrical celebration of nature. Simon Barnes writes with humour and passion. If there is one thing I am a sucker for, it’s enthusiasm and he has it in spades. He describes my kind of bird watching, that is observing the habits and flights of birds. This is not for those who like ticking off lists but a philosophy of enjoyment. He explains everything in a simple and down to earth fashion. This is a book for novice birdwatchers and naturalists wishing to re-visit the subject.
Simon is a sports journalist with The Times and writes for the RSPB His book was read on radio and has now been turned into a surprise best seller by Short Books. He covers many aspects concerning birds and bird watching, conservation, predators, garden birds but not in a dry academic way but with joy, hope...

While being selfish, cunning and usually obnoxious Henry is more mischievous than evil. The slightly younger Peter on the other hand is perfect in every way and the ideal foil for Henry’s antics. Henry actually sold Peter to his neighbour and classmate Moody Margaret as her slave in one tale which gives you an idea of the scale of things.
