Homeopathy is a great form of alternative medicine which can treat a vast number of problems, and reduce or eliminate many conditions. What's more, it is safe and can be used by anybody, with no side effects.
Homeopathy allows people and animals even, to be treated for health problems without any use of chemical, pharmaceutical drugs, which often, over a long period of time, cause great damage to your system as a result.
The remedies are within little "pillules" of sugar tablets, to be crunched and put under the tongue, ot taken in a liquid tincture form.
It works upon the principle of treating "like with like" and there are a massive number of remedies that can be used, but due to the position and approach in general terms to homeopathy, we tend to use only the most common fifty or so remedies. There are, in fact, hundreds of remedies to use, and the bigger your book (like the "Materia Medica") upon this topic, the more you will discover. More remedies are even being discovered for use for particular ailments as we read.
Each remedy is said to work upon a certain character group of ailments, or on individual ailments. For example, there are remedies for such as symptoms of colds or sickness/nausea or injuries etc. Remedies can be allocated to types of character, by practicing homeopaths as well.
Each remedy is diluted into a concentrate potency like the most commonly encountered 6c or 30c. However, this is where homeopathy complicates itself in a way that doctors would not support it, like they generally do not now. Not as thought perhaps, the larger the potency number, the smaller the dose, because that number indicates a fraction, in a way of the dilution used. This does not work at all like modern chemical medicine, so is not seen to make sense by many doctors. It is only available on the NHS at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital in London, by referral by your doctor. (a supportive doctor on this matter may be hard to find)
It is also argued that, because there is no proper scientific laboratory evidence to gauge the sucess of this medicine, that there will never be reason to use it so much. Many narrow minded doctors say these sucessful effects on many common ailments, as well as diseases, are simply psychological -all in the mind that you think maybe this time you will get better.
Also you do this with no side effects to ANYONE.Just remember you shouldn't eat mint before or after the remedy because it is known to contra-indicate it's effectiveness.
If this is so, then why are more people turning to homeopathy through practitioners or at their own discretion, when conventional medicine has failed them, only to find success? Sometimes a cure or reduction does not come over night, but can certainly be seen, and with homeopathic medicine now becoming widely available to us in big shops like Boots and Superdrug, it seems now, that the rest of us who have n't heard about it yet should have a look, and accept perhaps that it does just actually work.
The medical profession will not like to be told that in this day and age of technology, that sonmething so simple can be so more successful in many cases. So, remeber this opinion in ten years' time.
