Having done the usual test drive etc i ordered one the following day. 7 weeks later the car was delivered.
This car doesn't have an expensive badge on the front which may be a problem for some - and possibly me a few years ago when i cared more about what other people thought!! However, get inside this car and you are in the most luxurious car i've been in for 20K.

I bought one of these at the end of April this year and the past 7 months driving have been a pleasure.... and i have done 17,000miles!
At the beginning of the year i changed jobs and needed to buy myself a new car. I looked at all the usual options: Saabs, BMW's, Volvos, Mercs etc and never even gave the Honda Accord a look in! That was until i started adding all the extras i wanted into the purchase price of the car - I wanted sat nav, leather, cruise control - because i spend a lot of time in the car i wanted it to be done in comfort.

This car doesn't have an expensive badge on the front which may be a problem for some - and possibly me a few years ago when i cared more about what other people thought!! However, get inside this car and you are in the most luxurious car i've been in for 20K.
The black leather seats - with the 2 seat warmer settings, fully electronic adjustable seat configurations are so comfortable for long journeys. The Sat Nav is a real bonus - you can search for locations by street name, full post code, city, by hotel, by sports ground, by too many options to list here! It has automatic route detours and lets you know about traffic hold ups etc. It is a great piece of kit.
The car has a great cruise control system all controlled from the steering wheel. There is a 6 CD multichanger which can be controlled again from the steering wheel. Should you not want to use sat nav all the other multimedia stuff can be seen on the screen.
The car is all Bluetoothed up for your phone and it is all voice activated - may sound gimicky but when driving and not having to take your eyes off the road in these letigious days is a must. The sound quality over the speaks is also excellent. Only downside is that you have to load all the names and numbers in the cars own phonebook.
There is loads of leg room in the back and the boot is massive. The cars performance is terrific; put your foot down and there is loads of power. i can easily get in excess of 50MPG on motorway journeys - a big deal now with the way fuel prices are going! The engine is really quiet - particually for a diesel.... although it is a bit like a tractor for the first couple of seconds when you first turn the engine over from cold.
I have had not a single problem with this car since the day it was delivered. It went in for its first service at 12,500 miles and it got a clean bill of health and no work was needed.
As for road handling, the car is powerful and very responsive when you put your foot down. No noticeable over/under steer even at speed. It isn't an exciting drive though - this is a car built for long journeys and comfortable driving rather than giving you all a thrill.
In summary: I have recommended this to a number of my friends and 2 have gone and bought one - one the estate version and one the same as mine. Both have been absolutely delighted as have I. If you are more interested in internal quality than a posh badge then this has to be the car for you!
Advantages: Good Fuel Economy, Great Looks, Comfort etc. Disadvantages: expensive to buy new
This car is a joy to drive and has a good fuel economy and plenty of power. The build quality is excellent and reliability outstanding. I would recommend this model to any one looking for a diesel car to buy. Oh and it has the follwing as well:
Insurance Group 12, ABS, Alarm, Alloy Wheels, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Drivers Airbag, Electric Door Mirrors, Electric Sunroof, Electrically Adjustable Drivers Seat – (Heated), Electrically Adjustable ...

Advantages: All the gadgets a modern car needs Disadvantages: Cheap looking fake wood effect interior
You may have read about my useless car which I wrote about some time ago. Well a few months ago I finally got rid of my MGTF and bought myself a decent car instead. I use the word 'decent' to describe the build quality of my new car and not as a comparison in design, handling, and features etc. I realise that a direct comparison is impossible as the 2 cars are completely different both in terms of the type of person they are aimed at and the uses to which they would be put to.
My new car is a 2005 HondaAccord2.2i-CTDi Executive and I bought it mostly because of how comfortable and feature rich it was during the test drive but also because of the excellent review written by RichadA who I think should receive at least a small amount of commission :). He certainly gets my thanks for nudging me in the direction of the Accord because I ...

Advantages: Big reliable and responsive Disadvantages: Tight on the extras
As a company car owner I have played the field a bit with cars and have often been disappointed with Marques once I have driven them. Fords rattle, Rovers fall apart, and Mercedes were cramped and not good for a growing family. So I moved to Honda after Top Gear mentions on their reliability and for the first time I will be returning to the same car for my next one. I love this car!
Firstly, I am always doing projects around the house, and by flipping the back seats down, I can get wardrobes, fridges and timber into this car where others would fail. I have also got in all my camping equipment without a top box, where the Merc needed every inch filled plus the largest top box I could buy. The boot is like a black hole it just takes in everything!
The ride itself is comfort personified and the seats give support and a feeling ...
Advantages: Build quality, Comfort, Load space Disadvantages: Parking
From the moment I drove this car from the garage forecourt I knew I had made a great decision.
A great drive
The ride feels assured and responsive, everytime I looked in the rear-view mirror I was suprised I was driving an estate!
The quiet running 2.2iCTDi engine is fast and provides good pulling power through all of the gears. Even better, the diesel engine is very efficient and very reliable.
Complete Comfort
The ride comfort is second to none. The fully adjustable drivers seat is supremely comfortable, I can bash out mile after mile with no hint of back-ache or driving fatigue.
Dual climatic controls and heated front seats ensures its not just the driver who arrives in comfort.
Practical & Spacious
With a click of a button the boot opens automatically - great for impressing other reps at the service ...
