Its my first bike, so I'm bound to be a bit bias, but I had done alot of research before I got it, to find out what would be the best first time bike to get. This is a good ALL ROUNDER bike. It handles well at really slow speeds, when you need your clutch control, when filtering or moving in slow traffic, and it handles well at high speed. It definately ... ...you out of difficult situations should you need to. It is an easy bike to manuover, and it can take alot of abuse. Its brilliant on fuel. It has a comfy seat for you and the pillion. I think thats pretty vital esp if going on a long journey, which I have done many times now, taken long weekends away, touring the countryside. Its handles those bends beautifully. It accelerates well and apparently, those into wheelies, it easy to pull em on the CBR600, ... more

It handles well at really slow speeds, when you need your clutch control, when filtering or moving in slow traffic, and it handles well at high speed. It definately has the power there (even in top gear) to get you out of difficult situations should you need to. It is an easy bike to manuover, and it can take alot of abuse. Its brilliant on fuel. I think the CBR600 is a smart looking bike. It will never go out of fashion. Its reliable, I can honestly say I have had no problem with it, despite its age. They will keep going and going, as long as you look after it, ie service it and lube the chain etc... it will give you so much fun and that adrenalin rush. Even those that have had bigger bikes say that there favourite was the CBR600. I have NOT heard one bad thing about them at all. A definate buy for anybody, esp a new rider. Not only that they hold their price too. Its a must buy. :)
