one of the best bikes i have ever riden, very smooth gears, great response and handling, the balance is good, and the style is something else, a lot better than the old cbr.
in my opinion a lot of bike for a small amount of money.

Honda?s CBR600RR is consecutive 5-time AMA Formula Xtreme and 6-time World Supersport champ. Sounds like the perfect supersport bike. Perhaps it will be even better with the first electronically-controlled combined ABS system for a sportbike....

Advantages: excellent torque and performance and excellent chassis Disadvantages: riding position can be a strain after a fir bit of miles on a trip
...speechless. In fact my dad rides a Suzuki GSXR-1000 K2 and he went out and bought an Akrapovic straight after he heard the difference between the stock exhaust on mine and then the aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust...
Since I have bought my Kawasaki I have added a steering dampener, braided front back brake lines, Akrapovic Exhaust, smaller number plate and smaller indicators.
I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with this bike and feel I definatly made the right choice over all the other 600 on the market. The close second choice for me was the 2003 to present version, HondaCBR600RR......

Advantages: good styling, easy servicing, light handling, body positioning Disadvantages: brakes, gutless topend, soft suspension, clunky gears around town, overpriced
...I passed my bike test about ten years ago, cutting my teeth on a HondaCBR600RR which just blew me away for speed, performance, handling & braking.
However, due to change of jobs and the need to lug laptops around with me for work I sold the bike and opted for a 4 wheel boxmobile and have stayed thay way ever since....much to my shame.
However, my boyfriend is a bit of a biker at heart cus he find cars a tad mundane...except of course when its raining or he wants a few bits of shopping brought back home...bit of a different story then, but never mind:o)
Anyway, he's had a number of streetbikes over the years and is currently shackled with a 3 year Suzi GSX600-F.
Although having the design of a supersports I'm afraid one shouldn't judge books by covers cus unfortunately the engine plays a rather different tune.
As soon as I...

Advantages: Speed, handling, reliability, snarly exhaust note. Disadvantages: Maybe not quite as stylish looking as some other bikes.
...smooth when riding the Gixxer as it does have a powerful engine. You need to be smooth on the throttle. Also when changing down gears there is quite a lot of engine breaking and it does not have a slipper clutch as I think you get on the newer models. So if you change down through the gears too quickly the back tyre will skip and skid along if you are overly aggressive with it. But you?ll get used to what you can get away with after some time on the bike.

Handling

The handling is great!! You have the same size chassis as on a 600cc bike but with a more powerful engine. This makes the bike very flickable around corners and very fast down the straights. I actually used a HondaCBR600RR on a track day last September at Donington Park. After riding my bike the CBR felt very lacking in power.
When I first picked up my bike...
