I learnt to ride on this bike a couple of years ago and have commuted on it everyday since then come rain or shine (except a couple where there was eight inches of snow and ice). During that time it has served me well and has consistently run at about 100mpg.

There are drawbacks though. There is very little power produced and I found myself falling to about 40 mph quite frequently for hills. There is also no scope for overtaking even if the person in front is only doing 35 due to it taking too long to accelerate.

There have been a couple of times during very heavy rain where the engine has cut out and been unstartable until it had dried out but this is probably due to my bike being old (17years) rather than the design.

The handling of the bike is probably as expected from an old 125cc commuter bike but it is not impressive. I lowered the forks by 7-8mm and that has helped a bit but short of new engine, frame and brakes, not much is going to help much.

On the plus side it costs very little to run doing 100mpg and only having £15 per year for tax. When I got it I was 17 and had no no-claims/experience and insurance tpf&t was £160 per year which is also very reasonable.

Overall, if you just want a cheap to run bike to commute on and that will last indefinitely this is the one to get.
